Confucius Words on Education that Still Ring True Today

education

Education and knowledge are key to success and happiness because there is always something new to learn and someone else to pass down knowledge. Today we are sharing a few quotes on education by Confucius that still ring true despite the many centuries that have passed. Never give up on learning and don’t forget to take our free training courses if you’re eager to gain entrepreneurial skills.

  1. Education breeds confidence. Confidence breeds hope. Hope breeds peace.
  2. By three methods we may learn wisdom: first, by reflection, which is noblest, second, by imitation, which is easiest, and third by experience, which is the bitterest.
  3. The essence of knowledge is, having it, to apply it; not having it, to confess your ignorance.
  4. Acquire new knowledge whilst thinking over the old, and you may become a teacher of others.
  5. When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goals; adjust the action steps.

  1. Thanks for sharing this. I like quote number 1 “education breeds confidence. Confidence breeds hope and hope breeds peace”.

  2. By three methods we may learn wisdom: first, by reflection, which is noblest, second, by imitation, which is easiest, and third by experience, which is the bitterest. Am still meditating on it.

  3. I think that this applies a lot to the formation of my nonprofit: “When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goals; adjust the action steps.” I met a lot of legal resistance when I was trying to form it as a minor, but in taking the necessary steps towards talking to professionals who could help develop a legal and effective solution, I was able to form my organization at 17!
