The Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition is an activity within the framework of the UNESCO Global Action Programme (GAP) on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)

Greetings Message from UN Global Compact‘s PRME Initiative

prme-teaserDear youth leaders and participants,

The UN Global Compact‘s PRME initiative is very pleased to be a UN partner of the Youth Citizen Entepreneurship Competition.

Launched at the 2007 UN Global Compact Leaders Summit in Geneva, the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative is the first organized relationship between the United Nations and business schools, with the PRME Secretariat housed in the UN Global Compact Office in New York City.

The mission of PRME is to inspire and champion responsible management education, research and thought leadership globally.

The Six Principles of PRME provide a United Nations – supported engagement framework for Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), especially management and business programmes, to embed corporate sustainability in education, research, and campus practices.

Thus, PRME contributes to enhance the business sector to be a strong agent for peace and sustainable development. Peace and sustainable development are crucial to the economy and markets.

We are looking forward to your innovative ideas and projects which contribute to help building peaceful, prosperous and thriving societies for all.

Thank you for your participation in the Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition.

Jonas Haertle
Head,
PRME Secretariat
