Your profile as an entrepreneur
My name is Elia Wiston Kinshaga, a Tanzanian young man born on 16/01/1989 at Musoma in Mara. In 1992 my father died which lead to shift to Kilimanjaro. I started my Primary Education in 1998-2004 at Kilimanjaro Primary School, Secondary education in 2004-2008 at Kiboriloni Secondary School, in 2009-2011 for Advanced Secondary Education at Majengo Secondary School all in Moshi Municipality. I joined my first degree at Sokoine University of Agriculture from 2011-2014 whereby had been pursuing the Bachelor Degree of Rural Development. In July 2012 during the first year's holiday, I started to volunteer at fruits and vegetable processing project called SOLARTUNDA project which was under the University (Sokoine University of Agriculture). While volunteering at the project, I got the chance to be included to the project's program to train in entrepreneurship skills and development. After the training I started to sell some of the project's processed products and there is where my passion to engage in entrepreneurship began. The entrepreneurship skills I acquired made me stop selling project's products due to time management and start cooking and selling food at my own bedding room (I rented a room off campus during my undergraduate). The project went well and I expanded and opened a local wooden restaurant at our street and continued to offer food services to students and other street dwellers and I ran the project till I completed my undergraduate. In August 2014, I volunteered at SOLARTUNDA project and learned a lot on how to become a good and great processor in future as my career. In July 2015 I came up with an idea to engage in pineapple processing and in order to become much aware about business I joined Masters of Business administration by November 2015 and while studying I started the firm by January 2016.
