Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development

Eventually it will be possible for patients, healthcare staff and clinicians to enter all data into a patients EHR (Electronic Health Record) and little or no paper will be required. Data flow and information retrieval will be simplified and fast, aiding other activities like research, auditing and planning (short-term and long-term).

Sustainability and future plans

PHS focuses on less or no paper work during hospital/clinical/health activities. All its reports are soft generated (soft copy) and can be printed if the users wishes to. The project generates income from software purchases and periodic maintenance services from the clients. Our clients track health, financial and pharmaceutical records thus insuring less or no loss and also saving time. PHS will link two or more health centers in different geographical locations and ensure data centralization and availability which in turn will help researchers to conduct their research easily (due to data availability). The day of the paper is coming to an end. Of course there are many planning considerations required to achieve success, yet it is possible to truly go paperless with a well-planned model that matches staffing and patient care needs. By using the latest technology and collaborating with clinical teams we can minimize the pain and ensure that patient care, And this is only improved by having all clinical information in one electronic record as soon as possible for the care team.

Your profile as an entrepreneur

I'm a Computer Science graduate from RUCU (Ruaha Catholic University) formerly RUCO (Ruaha College University), specialized in Software Engineering. I became fond of computer programs, especially desktop applications and Web application. I(Shaban Said) and my friends(Mbelwa Mchayungu and Alfred Chunga) decided to start a company named Geek Technologies on August 2014 with the aim of providing IT services to our country(Tanzania). We developed the idea when we saw doctors and nurses having trouble on records finding and storage in the hospital and also to those who conduct Health research. We wanted the software enable users to forget paper works and save all their data into the software. My company is active on searching and creating more crucial software for our community like PHS.

Olorunfemi Dayo thanks very much for your helpful and advisable comment.
From your comment your absolutely right but my aim was (and is) to make it hybrid standalone software that can do both offline and online functionality.

your PHS project is good and your software is marketable. however, is your product a standalone applications? or do you have plan to make it a web centric application?
from my little experience of the software industry, it appears a standalone program are less distributable to many clients, because of likelihood differences in users processes, manual procedures and administrative policy and requirements.
this mean that software developers should review their business model in a bid to attract more customers and towards finding return on investment.
I don't know if this suggestion can help you grow your business in the long run.
