The information generated can also be used by youth intending to set up business or activities within certain areas. The youth shall be directly involved in both collection and consumption of research data generated (participatory action research) which means any interventions arising from the research will be better understood accepted and owned by the youth. The project shall directly provide employment for the youth through data collection, documentation (video/sound), data entry and digital advocacy
Plans for implementation and sustainability

It will also offer useful information for youth who want to engage in entrepreneurship make sound decisions based on concrete current information as well as offer basic training in research, monitoring and evaluation for the youth involved in the project. The Funding for the Project is expected to come from consultation fees, partnerships and commissioning fees. The Future plan is to establish YouthCaffe as an authority in generation and publishing of accessible digital data on youth development in Kenya.
I am 30 years of age with over 10 years experience in project management in the NGO sector, a successful entrepreneur (catering) and Digital Designer. After completing high school, I benefited from a vocational training ICT program by an organization called Nairobits where I later worked as Information Center Coordinator, in charge of running 7 ICT and Entrepreneurship training centers with more than 500 students at any one time. In the year 2011-2012, I was part of the team that designed and promoted the 'ghetto game' (geth2o) an online conflict resolution game by Butterfly Works which targeted communities living in resource scarce conflict areas and urban slums. I was also heavily involved in the mapping and setting up of youth friendly service centers in Kenya with Africa Alive-Dance for Life organizations, FHOK; and also helped in the production of a video documentary for Royal Tropical Institute, GGD Amsterdam, and AMREF Kenya. I am motivated by providing a helping hand in the empowerment and transformation of vulnerable youth. Some of the youth I have trained formed startups that continue to employ other youth in their communities. This has been possible because of several principles that I hold dear; first, is Discipline which allows one to focus on a task and avoid distractions, wastage and delays. Second is Creativity which has enabled me to think outside the box for solutions without the encumbrances of convection. Creativity contains an element of inspiration because it spurs and challenges others to push the envelope. Third is integrity which has played a vital role in building trust and commitment in the teams I have worked with. I have received recognition and mention in a publication by KIT Royal Tropical Institute as a key contributor; Mamabits, Nairobits and YouthCaffe for exemplary service in project management.
