Explain your idea in details:
OBJECTIVE: A new concept of a mobile application dedicated to save time, energy and money providing guidance and mobility solutions for crowded hypermarkets. ACTIVITIES: enter the list of products required beforehand. INNOVATION: the app will guide you to nearest departments in sequential order to prevent multiple re-visits, the ideal shopping time (least crowded time) and product alternatives that cost less. This application will direct you to places in sequential order to tick off your shopping list in shortest time possible. It will offer time and distance to reach specific departments. Moreover, from your shopping list it can provide alternative products with lower prices. Last but not least, it can convey how many people are standing in line in front of cashiers or butchery.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
iSEEK impacts three Sustainable Development Goals. SDG #8 Decent Work & Economic Growth. SDG #9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure. SDG #17 Partnerships for the goals Target: disabled & visually impaired people, customers with tight time, elder ones, companies seeking customers' satisfaction and market researchers. This idea is mutually beneficial for both customers and companies. It will help people of different age groups, especially the old and handicapped that depend on large supermarkets. iSEEK will tremendously help first time customers who don't know the way around. It will save their energy by reducing overall shopping time and simplifying the overall shopping experience. It can also advise what the optimum time is to visit the chosen supermarket. iSEEK can be further developed by using voice recognition and guidance-through-speech technology to help the visually impaired. This contributes to building customers' loyalty, ensuring customers' satisfaction, growing a better reputation, improving service evaluation, increasing visits to a particular supermarket and generating overall customer retention. Success can be measured by increase in daily/weekly number of customers, engaging customers in writing reviews, frequent active users, measuring the decrease in shopping time and customers' satisfaction.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
Revenue from Hypermarkets, Advertisers and Market Research Institute will be needed for implementation which includes developing, printing, promoting, marketing and cost of human resource. Our collaborators are Developers, Market Research Institutes and Hypermarket owners. Resources required are software, developers, capital and paper. By contacting people who are expertise in programming and developing, this idea can be applied to reality as a mobile app. Leaflets printed is one way for marketing and reaching large people. We can also give offers to first time installers of this application. This will help in attracting new customers. Existing customers can be retained by giving offers to their reviews or accumulated points based on their number of visits or value of purchase. This will ensure good customers relationship. Our customer segments are three. New and Existing hypermarket visitors, Hypermarket owners and market researchers. The mobile application is the channel to reach value propositions to our customers which include Simplicity, guidance in shopping, recommendation of alternative cheaper goods, reviews, time reduction and saving of energy. And to hypermarket owners, the value they receive is customers retention, loyalty, reputation and promotion for market to new visitors as this market uses new technology. Last but not least, our market researchers will receive easy, direct analysis of most popular and most sold products.
