Smart Shiksha - Making Dreams a Reality
Explain your idea in details:
With millions of youths being denied their right to education due to lack of educational facilities and many other reasons, Smart Shiksha aims to provide an online platform to learn anything you like for free. We aim to combat poverty through education because we believe "Educate the people and we are half done with poverty." Smart Shiksha plans to implement its idea of education for all in 3 phases: Phase I: Making videos During this phase, we will focus on making videos of as many topics as we can and make them available on the online platform for free. Smart Shiksha will be an open platform where anyone who thinks she/he can teach a topic can approach us and after certain standard tests, we shall start making videos with them. Videos will be based on latest techniques of teaching through animation, cartoons and other graphical representation rather than a conventional/traditional way of teaching. Phase II: Starting Training Centers After we are done with a certain level of video development, phase II will be based on starting Smart Shiksha training centers in rural areas of Nepal. This will help people of that area to have access to the online platform even if they don't have adequate resources. By this, best teachers can reach to the rural area which would not have been possible physically. Phase III: At this phase, we will start converting our videos to other language giving Smart Shiksha a global reach.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
Through Smart Shiksha, we believe thousands of youth who are deprived of education can get education through this online platfrom. Also, those who can't continue their dream/ hobbies due to lack of fund or resources can actually make their dream a reality. Along with that, the life skills training videos will provide necessary trainings to start small skill based work to help them raise their living standard. This is how we are targeting to reduce poverty by educating the people.
