Plans for implementation and sustainability

Implementation plans and business models are as follows; - Identifying the number of orange farmers, their hectares and tons of raw materials per year - Collection and inspection of raw materials will be done every week at the factory area. Farmers will be paid after submitting their fruits. - The first three months, the factory will work 12 hours a day for initial monitoring and follow up but the coming months will work 24 hours every day. - Within two weeks of operations, factory management will start promoting juice products through media such as Clouds TV, ITV and East Africa TV in order to sell and introducing the brand to the market. - Initial months of operations, management will require more interns and volunteers to work in this project. After that, the factory will employ them in machines, inspection of materials and supplying of products. - Also, Factory management will establish an organization for farmers so as to encourage and educate them to engage modern cultivation in order to ensure availability also quality of raw materials and sustainability of the project. That institution will connect targeted farmers of orange fruits and it will be easy to motivate others. Sources of money will depend on my pocket, competitions or prizes and donations from various organizations. Currently, I have 300 USD as a start up capital but its not enough to accomplish the project that's why I do competing so as to get assistance. In other way, the factory will collaborate with other industries (like Bakhresa Food Products, Mohamed Enterprises) and agricultural organizations in order to strengthening and busting Healthy Juice brand in the market. Collaboration will increase capital of the factory due to sharing of tools, experts and skills. - The use of non-disposable and other packages that can be recycled in order protect our environment

Hello fellow passenger,

You might have heard the famous song "What I've done" by Linkin park. The lyrics have been beautifully carved by the late singer Chester Bennington. The song covers the ways in which our so called development has helped only a handful of the upper society members, whereas people are still living in poverty.

We have a great platform here which is urging super brains from around the world to come together and collaborate with their ideas and help make this world a better place to live in. You have been a part of this community and I congratulate you on your effort that you have put in.

Thanks once again and all the best for the future

Comrades,
In this fight for a sustainable future, what we need is innovation; something which is not necessarily new, but which makes us look at things from a different angle.

I believe this is one of the major motives of this community which we are a part of. Taking one step together hand in hand towards our goal is the only way we can achieve it.

So I wish you the very best in this endeavour of yours and hope to see you together in the new tomorrow

Hello Shuhra,
Thanks for your question

The idea came to my mind when I see challenges facing fruits farmers in this region. And started to find out a solution for them.
I was born and living in this region since 1993, I know our problems in this area. That's why it was easy to get this idea.

I think I've answered your question. Welcome again and I'll be able to send you project details.

August 30, 2017 20:38

Its a good answer regarding to my question! Congrats for those plans!
I want to understand,
Do you have the amount of money to pay those staffs when you start implementing the project?

Waiting for your explanation brother

August 30, 2017 09:31

Hi Godfrey,

Thanks for responding to my comments and yes i agree that if you can start with oranges then you'll have time to know the market, understand the customers, build your experience and also delivering quality product. Simplicity and focus, and now that you have indicated the product of interest. You can easily estimate the funds you are raising by looking at what is really needed to get the oranges from wherever, process them and have a customer enjoy the healthy orange juice. I think there are machines for producing fresh juice which you can have it in busy supermarket in addition to other value added products.

Wishing you great success!

August 30, 2017 09:28

Hello John

Thanks for constructive question. HJF project is going to employ educated and non educated persons from Tanzania and outside the country if needed.
Various departments require professionals for instance; Accountants, Machine operators but other areas can work without depending on educated people.

Welcome again for other question or further clarification.

August 29, 2017 13:12

Hello Shuhra

I believe that, collaboration is the key to success than working alone. So that, I expect to work together with other people, companies and industries from all over the World so as to share skills, knowledge, experience and holding the market for this product.

Actually, this project will be sustainable. My expectation and future plans are to maximize the factory activities such as to process mangoes, watermelons, and manufacturing more than one juice products.

Thank you my fellow! If you want to know more , let me know

August 29, 2017 12:15

If i had the chance I would say let all the ideas be in the finals but my advice is, beyond YCEC continue to develop your idea and make the world a better place through what you have. For me Money is synonymous with IMPACT. The more people you impacted with this idea the more money you have and more benter the world becomes.
God bless you. Thanks for voting for my idea as I did voted for you too.
CHEERS.

August 29, 2017 09:38

Without change there is no innovation, creativity, or incentive for improvement. Those who initiate change will have a better opportunity to manage the change that is inevitable. So change this world with your idea.
Wishing you all the success and hope you will be there in the finals.

Dear Fellow participant,

You have done well thus far. Only few people will venture relentlessly into the things in which their instincts proposes because sometimes the goal appears too crazy to achieve, so they just retreat.

Actually, someone has said that "The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

You may have seen this before but I want to remind you that it's true, only those who are "crazy enough" eventually get results.

Congratulations for been "crazy enough" (seeing beyond normal and following your dreams despite the odds)...

Best wishes,

Hi Godfrey
This qualifies my recently comment..One character of an entrepreneur is to find something which no body can measure its value and turn it into something that every one would wish to have. (from my inner thinking) In your idea you are able to turn those Oranges which seem to have less value into a heath juice every one would wish to opt for.
Congratulations for being innovative enough.
You may wish to share your experience in my idea " Zero hunger is possible"

Hello Otaigo

Thanks for your question.
Actually I'll use preservatives but 95% of juice product will contain natural ingredients.

Most of industries in Tanzania are manufacturing 100% of artificial products.

Nice question, most welcome

Otaigo Elisha

August 25, 2017 12:03

Hi Luvanda

I have got one question based on you respond to Mbizi question about Competitors and you said you will Base on natural juice, and part of your explanation in your idea seems you will use preservatives is not Artificial? Waiting to here from you soon

August 25, 2017 10:34

Hi Mbizi

Frankly, I have a lot of competitors in Tanzania. But those competitors are manufacturing juices by using artificial materials (colour, taste and others). Big industries are Bakhresa Food Products, Mohameid Entraprinces, Healtho and others.

Thanks in advance

August 25, 2017 09:16

Luvanda, you are very creative and innovative. Its a great idea in deed and as youths we have to invent for our society.

My questions:
Do you have competitors in your country? Who are they ?

August 25, 2017 08:57

Hello Godfrey!

I believe that just one idea can transform the World we live in, it could be yours. So, I stand firmly with it. What you highlighted it's a fact, as to lack of market for farmers' oranges, but with your idea, there will availability of the market for such in a grand style.

Keep progressing!

August 25, 2017 08:48

Welcome Anita

You keep supporting my idea and that's my aim towards our community and the economy . As you see, farmers are spending their time and putting efforts but no market for their oranges, the best solution is to establish a factory for the purpose of reducing this problem. This will help them to get market and get direct employment for their efforts!

I welcome other comments, I want to improve this idea to the top level ....Thank you! Thank you

August 25, 2017 08:37

Hi Uledi

To build a factory and it's context: will take 1 year
To register it ( Tanzania Revenue Authority, District Council) and it's products (Tanzania Food and Drugs Association, Tanzania Bureau of statistics): will take 3 months.
Other issues will take 3 months.

But it depends on the startup amount or capital. This project needs money in oder to be implemented and I don't have enough money.

Thanks a lot and welcome again to ask any question!

August 25, 2017 08:31

Hello Godfrey!

You are welcome. I firmly support your idea of abundant natural fruit juice. As this will combat post-harvest loss and improve the economy of the society.

Best of Luck!

August 25, 2017 08:23

Greetings Ajith

I'm very happy to see your comment. It is very impressing me to be committed to my community so as to reduce various problems. I'll support you, don't worry ....!

Thanks a lot

Hello Emanuel

Thanks for your good question. We have only one factory that produce natural juice (but not large number of products) in Tanzania, that's my advantage. Also there is no any kind of industry that process and recycle oranges in my country.
Am I clear?

If you want to know anything, don't hesitate to ask again!

Hi,
After going through your idea, I firmly believe that you can successfully convert it to an executable project and help the society grow in a sustainable manner. I wish you the best for the same.

I would really appreciate if you could go through my idea as well(follow this link https://www.entrepreneurship-campus.org/ideas/12/5961/comments). Our idea deals with covering an otherwise unused rooftop of a building with green plants, and using that space for a multitude of activities. This would have various positive effects on the environment and also the society in general.

Thank you

Hi Seth

Thanks a lot brother for encouraging me to work on this solution. I hope this factory will help large number of youths and improve people's health in deed.

Thanks a lot and if you have anything don't hesitate to comment. I need to improve this idea, your comment will make changes and contributes to the sustainable development goals.

August 21, 2017 07:07

Greetings brother Daniel

I'm very happy to see your comment. Actually I failed to show the real budget or what I need because other resources like machines are from outside the country for example; China, USA and I'm not aware about the actual prices but I promise to keep researching in order to know the real amount of money I'm looking for.
Regarding to your question based on equipments, frankly I don't have any kind of equipment but I can get a place of establishing this project for free once I get business partners, our president is always insisting youths to establish small industries so that it is very easy to get the old building and repairing it for startup.

I have to concentrate on oranges due to availability of raw materials. Also as a startup entrepreneur it is very important to concentrate on single issue because I'll be able to manage it and doing followup. But after several years I have a plan of manufacturing another product and enlarging the factory.

Welcome to Tanzania - East Africa
Thanks a lot

August 20, 2017 22:58

Hi Godfrey,

That a good idea to add value to these agricultural products and you have mentioned a number of them your concept. In your video you have focused much on mangoes, does it mean you plan to start with mangoes only? You have also only indicated amount of money you have, what about how much you are looking for and for achieving which specific milestone? Do you already have some equipment or you are starting from scratch (asking because you showed an old processing factory in your video).

In fact, focusing on one product for a start is a good idea, you just have to know which one to start by looking at production volumes per season and the availability of the market.

All the best with your idea.

August 20, 2017 22:46

Dear Godfrey,

Congratulations on your progress so far, I must say I'm impressed. you will greatly affect the health and food sector and assist small scale farmers to achieve their dreams as well.

Just to say that you keep up and be encouraged to do more.

Kindest regards,
Seth

August 20, 2017 07:47

Hello brother Uledi

I'm very happy to see my fellow Tanzanian in this campus.

In oder to establish this factory, I suppose to have a large amount of money to cover the cost of machines, factory building (to build or rent), registration (Tanzania Revenue Authority, Small Industries Development Organization, Tanzania Bureau of Statistics, and Tanzania Food and Drugs Association), raw materials for startup and the last one is technical issues. Honestly, I have 300 USD and I believe that its not enough to accomplish this project. That's why I want to tell investors/partners in the World to see this opportunity in Tanzania and take action to partner with us or investing in this idea.

Thanks for your comment, it makes me happy and believe that ,this factory is very important for industrialization.

August 20, 2017 05:47

Dear Godfrey
I have been inspired by your health juice coming soon from this idea. Its good idea towards industrialization in Tanzania.. How log will it take then to start production.
All the best.

August 18, 2017 16:16

Hello Asomaniwaa

Its my pleasure to say thanks for your comment, you reminded me to keep improving customer's health.
I will ensure that, I keep investigating before implementation. HJF will preserve this juice for better health.

Thanks for your time....let me support your idea

August 17, 2017 22:49

Hello Godfrey,

Well done on this nice initiative. I like that you also target persons with non communicable diseases. Please ensure that your preservatives and/or additives are ones that will not add any more disease burden to such individuals. This will mean a lot of research into the right preservatives.
Also I hope that you will include plans to make the factory a safe environment for workers and also that the juice is prepared under aseptic conditions.

I have a personal passion towards the fight against non communicable diseases. I would like to say thanks to all for your suggestions, direction, corrections and questions. Your messages and comments were the source of improving this idea.

My fellow Anita, I will use preservatives in this product that's why I explained that, juice product will contain 95% of natural ingredients and 5% for artificial

August 11, 2017 14:40

Hello Luvanda, it is a great idea you have got here. It will surely go a long way to help people in your region. The health and economic situation of the people will benefit immensely with this idea of yours.

However, how long does your product lasts? Are you using any preservatives for the juice? Thank you.

Also, in this same spirit, you may kindly support my idea, AfricEnergy, towards organic fertilizer, green energy and electricity. Thank you.. see it at; entrepreneurship-campus.org/ideas/12/6509/

Hi! Brother

I'm interested with your idea, when you posted it on Facebook I do determine your input to fruits farmers.
I'm a graduate of Degree in General Agriculture, a victim of unemployment problem and decided to go back to home, currently I'm a farmer of oranges from Upare Village, Muheza district in Tanga region- Tanzania. Your proposal was encouraging me, also it motivates to keep cultivating and engage modern farming because the factory is coming to serve us in the issue of market.

Great in deed....

Jenifer

August 2, 2017 08:15

Hello Godfrey

I'm happy to see our Tanzanian is going to represent us through presenting/introducing this problem and challenge facing farmers in Tanga region. I think you are not economically fit to create a good video that will show orange plantations, extent of the problem and your solution. Just work on it, create another video so as to represent us well. But you have done your part, good lucky.....

Greetings,

As an organization that implementing Sustainable Development Goals in Nigeria, we were very happy to see this idea that aiming to reduce the global problem of unemployment. On behalf of our organization I would like to encourage you to establish this factory from small one because I've seen that, its going to address the following problems; in your society; unemployment, market, stagnant of agriculture and industrial sector (most of African countries they didn't investing in industrial sector due to dependence which caused poor economic status)

Hello

You have a great idea brother Godfrey, its possible to implement this project due to availability of raw materials but you have to find a good way that will enable you to shape them to keep cultivating. Now days chemicals are easy to get than natural materials so just check it but I believe that Tanzania has a big and fertile land to cultivate. I have heard that ,orange is one of the best fruit in East Africa. So that, it will be easy to manage a factory.

Keep moving
Best wishes

Steven Godfrey

July 30, 2017 07:06

Great idea in deed. This is what president Magufuli wants. I think Mr Godfrey has observed some opportunities regarding to government policies and manifesto. Also the government is implementing these words "Tanzania of Industries" since 2015. It is possible to implement this project, keep moving our African , help our continent to get development through industries....

A good idea that will transform agriculture sector and youths in Tanga region, Tanzania. Farmers were putting much efforts but there was no permanent market for fruits especially oranges. Investors let support Mr Godfrey to implement this idea.

Shaban Maghembe

July 10, 2017 06:40

Lack of permanent market for fruits especially oranges, is a huge problem in Tanga region for many years. I think Godfrey he wants to solve this problem because a lot of politician were talking about this but failed to implement it. I hope fruits farmers will benefit as well as Muheza district council. Great one

July 10, 2017 06:24

I join with you hand to hand on your good idea and thinking as a young boy, it is true that our Region especial Muheza Distruct has alot and big oranges farms and other fruits varieties such as mango, jackfruits and banana ,things we miss is luck of processing industry . During peak season alot of fruits get no market and low price so the idea to establish fruit processing industry is good idea to overcome these problems.

June 5, 2017 19:49

Hello Godfrey,

I really appreciate your efforts for this idea, as we all know that now-a-days we aren't getting pure fruits and vegetables so your idea would be great for the agriculture sector. So if you would like to explain me that what profit you will be getting from this idea.

Best wishes

This is one of the simplest ways I have seen out there...brilliant idea Godfrey...This could actually work. It\'s realistic and the most interesting thing is that it can be done locally and not much capital investment.
