Well-paid labor jobs for high school graduates

Stage of Idea conceptual stage
This bar shows in a scale of 0-10 the Factor of an idea and his owner PROPORTIONAL TO ALL OTHER IDEAS AND OWNERS - 10 is the best, 0 is the worst value. The blue bar changes constantly due to the votes, comments, ratings and activities on this and other ideas.

Explain your idea in details:

The organization targets to reduce the amount of high school graduates in the near future who choose to enter universities with the solely purpose is to earn a degree without any interest in further studies. They are the ones who are afraid of social prejudices, regard university as the only safeguard against unemployment or low income jobs, disbelieve in the fact that there are a plenty of well-paid laborious job chances for them. Easily to see, this is not the ultimate choice, which only leads to an awful waste of time and money. We are the third party supplier who would approach, persuade and counsel the mentioned ones to later apply for reasonable salary labor jobs in reliable companies, and take up e-learning, short courses or instead. Furthermore we will connect to some libraries to help them borrow books or documents at low cost if the students have the desire. We also hold events, offer consulting services in employment contracts and the relevant labor laws to guarantee a secure future with safe, long-term career.

Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development

If succeed, the project set up from this idea will help to reduce the amount of unnecessary time and money wasted on universities, increase the number of high quality young workers, promoting participation in companies with considerable developing potential rather than small businesses which have no long-term strategies. Also, this help to decrease the stereotypical opinion and mindset of the relevance of university degree to well-paid job chances, which consequently encourages more students to enter the workforce after graduating high school or though it may seem strange, go to vocational school after finishing secondary school. Yet they still earn sufficient, or even above-average income, contrary to present popular belief. Eventually, the project helps to improve the national economy, foster sustainable development.

Plans for implementation and sustainability

The first customers should be the ones who fail the national entrance exam to universities and those looking for a part-time job during their university years as well, and later the high school students. Communication partners are NPOs, NGOs, Community Organizations. Via communication partners, posters, then Facebook, email, and eventually at schools, we would approach, persuade and counsel the students. The information resources mainly come from job-seeking websites and job fairs. The source of capital for organizing events comes from fund-raising and sponsors at first, and later from brokerage fees. Main costs are associated with marketing strategy, human resources, events.

Your profile

My full name is Phan Anh Thư, I'm presently attending a high school in Hồ Chí Minh City, Viet Nam. I am engrossed in many activities which support sustainable local development, or you can call it the activities which improve my environment, my surroundings, my school, my home, in other words. Besides the above idea, reducing food waste and encourage native products are my 2 top interests. Being a teenager, I clearly feel the overrated importance of universities in many countries in the world. Along with the awareness of graduates coming from low income families usually have a strong tendency to take jobs in business which have little developing potential or become a retailer who take advantage of xenophilia and low-paid workers as well to sell unmarked/foreign products, there comes my idea. This idea is not my first attempt to set up something new. Feel free to ask, to comment, to make suggestions, to disagree with and to point out the disadvantages in my idea, I would really appreciate those. Thank you.

Hello fellow passenger,

You might have heard the famous song "What I've done" by Linkin park. The lyrics have been beautifully carved by the late singer Chester Bennington. The song covers the ways in which our so called development has helped only a handful of the upper society members, whereas people are still living in poverty.

We have a great platform here which is urging super brains from around the world to come together and collaborate with their ideas and help make this world a better place to live in. You have been a part of this community and I congratulate you on your effort that you have put in.

Thanks once again and all the best for the future

Comrades,
In this fight for a sustainable future, what we need is innovation; something which is not necessarily new, but which makes us look at things from a different angle.

I believe this is one of the major motives of this community which we are a part of. Taking one step together hand in hand towards our goal is the only way we can achieve it.

So I wish you the very best in this endeavour of yours and hope to see you together in the new tomorrow

Dear Fellow participant,

You have done well thus far. Only few people will venture relentlessly into the things in which their instincts proposes because sometimes the goal appears too crazy to achieve, so they just retreat.

Actually, someone has said that "The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

You may have seen this before but I want to remind you that it's true, only those who are "crazy enough" eventually get results.

Congratulations for been "crazy enough" (seeing beyond normal and following your dreams despite the odds)...

Best wishes,

Hello,
Being a part of India's well known Entrepreneurship Cell of the most prestigious engineering college in India, I have interacted with many startup enthusiasts, have got to know how they think and what are some qualities that set them apart from the ones who are not able to see their idea through. Reading through your idea, I have realised that your idea has that spark which can help it become a successful venture. Coupled with its aim to help the society achieve its goals sustainably, your idea can be something quite helpful for the same.

But before it's implementation, you need to do a "pre-mortem" check on how it can fail. This would prepare you for any uncalled-for circumstances and help you prepare for them accordingly.

Lastly, I would like you to have a look at our idea, GreenSpace, and share your views about the same.

Wishing you the best,
Team GreenSpace.

Hello,
I invite you kindly to comment my idea Path To Knowledge. I would be glad to hear your advice. I have written this message after I commented almost all ideas and projects and probably yours too. I am deeply sorry if this message bothered you, but everyone on this platform wants to go to the finals with his/her idea and makes all it is possible to get there. Maybe not all the actions are fair. Some participants copy the same meaningless message and paste it to all ideas. I just do marketing. Again, I am sorry if this message disturbed you.

Dear The phan
I like the way you managed to explain how most of Young people expect after graduation, this expectations has lead them into unemployment and complaints. I think the challenge towards this idea may be Certificate preference of some companies,If you are making them to open their own jobs by knowledge from those short course and library books for being as mentor but for the case of Connecting with companies the problems of low Salary may arise again.
Otherwise I support your idea and it is important for this growing population of Graduates
Best wishes.

However, I think it's the beginning stage that you mean. :) If so, here is my reply: I would not looking for sponsors until successfully consulting 10 people or so. Then I would find business groups, international companies, participate in start-up competitions, hoping to win or at least find some more potential sponsor. That's currently my idea for financial support.

Hope that my answer is helpful. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask, thank you. :)

@Anita Mbah:

Hi Anita,

1, Yes, since I plan to set up the project as an nonprofit organization and develop it into a social enterprise, I do need to looking for sponsor.

2, Yes, I would do the PR things, once I have had some achievements & run the project for over 1 year at least.

3, No, since it's a pretty long way for me to connect with schools. Almost everyone is looking for their university path and it's not easy to get the message across. However I would consider coming to some colleges. My country's education system provide 2 ways for academic study after high shool: university and college. The second is often undervalued, as their education quality is considered not as good as the first. And maybe that's my opportunity. :)

Thank you for your questions. Hopefully I would find time to give your idea a proper comment, since I'm rather busy lately.

@Seth Thomas Anohwonom:

Hi Seth,

I don't know if it's the norm but most of local businesses in my area all promise to train their staff, even it's just part-time jobs. So I reckon it could be a way to improve them then.

About giving them motivation, sadly it's not my idea's main purpose. It is to reduce the number of students attending universities while they can't make good use of it. It would be overloading if I try to do so much.

Thank you for your interest in my idea, I really appreciate it.

Best wishes,

Hello Phan,
I am very impressed by your idea.I am glad to see that there are other people who are considering this issue important.I am also working for the same purpose. To me It is indeed a universal issue for graduates and young people to be able to fulfil their dreams in respect to finding tangible jobs/sources of livelihood as they grow into adulthood and family life. Your idea is timely at a point in which unemployment is getting high across the globe. However, how do you intend to fund your idea at this capital level.
Best regards.

Hello Phan, I am highly impressed by your idea. It is indeed a universal issue for graduates and young people to be able to fulfil their dreams in respect to finding tangible jobs/sources of livelihood as they grow into adulthood and family life. Your idea is timely at a point in which unemployment is getting high across the globe. However, how do you intend to fund your idea to be sustainable? Will you consider partnership with public stakeholders in the education sector and private schools to be able to address these issues among young people at an early stage? Catch them young they say is a very good approach with which I believe you will be making a lasting impact on communities around you. Than you.

Also, in this spirit, you may kindly support my idea, AfricEnergy, an idea focused on Green Energy; Biogas, Organic Fertilizer and Electricity...Thank you. You may see it at: https://www.entrepreneurship-campus.org

Hi Thu,

I like the th passion and motivation with which you write, I see you been burdened about a need you seek to address as soon as possible. It's a good one and I must commend your efforts.

But I want you to really think in this idea as to how you could improve the "graduates" life as regards education and improving them and encouraging to do better than just been employed.

Wish you the best.

@Katlego Sito:

Hi there,

The problem is that in the present it is extremely difficult to promote that way of thinking to secondary students, as most of them and their parents could not tolerate it and accept the idea. They figure that they have a broader future and the choice to enter a vocational school is only for those who have performed terribly during the learning period, who have show a complete deficiency in learning science subjects (solving maths problems, doing chemical equation,...) or the ones whose family is so poor that cannot deal with the tuition fees. So, no secondary students, at least in 5 or 10 years. :)

About the internship, as I mentioned below in the reply to Andrei, it is my original purpose to decrease the number of universities attendants. And the learnership, it is quite hard for me to do the thing from scratch since I plan to have a small NPO, and your idea require me to have some more partners (vocational schools for example) co carry out the programme. Also this type of programme has not been popular and regarded official in my country. However I think your suggestion is rather interesting, which I may develop in the future if I have the opportunity. Thank you. :)

Hope that you find my answer helpful. More questions are definitely welcomed.

Thank you very much for making me understanding the thinking behind. And now I realize that also my country (Romania) has the same problem. I encourage you to develop this idea and if you want, take a look at my idea Path To Knowledge. I would like to hear your opinion.

@Linguraru Andrei-Theodor :

Hi Andrei,

As I said before, the problem is that in my country, every year there is a huge amount of students enter university, choose to study Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Education and other academic & popular subjects, yet their sole desire is to get whatsoever a job that gives them an average (or above average if possible) salary. They look down on labor jobs, consider them as lowbrow careers with low salary, while that is definitely not true.

So I offer them short online (or offline) academic courses in order for them to get a certificate or degree as well as provide them some academic documents by connecting to some local libraries or book community (I have just add the later thing to my idea). We offer labor jobs which do not require much experiance, which the students could gain later during the working period.

After 2-4, these workers could choose to learn new subjects, to enter a vocational college, to have another job which require more experiance or stay the same.

My priority is to reduce the number of students enter universites, to prove that they could learn the subjects and have jobs without attending universities. The further purpose is to encourage them to enter vocational colleges, which they have never thought of in these days. The city folks of my country, especially the ones who come from a middle class families, really think it's the end of their life if they are not accepted to a university, and consider those who suggest them not to enter unimaginably insane.

That's why I don't target the graduates. Also there are a plenty of websites and job consulting centers, so there is no point for me to do the same thing. :)

Hope that my answer is clear enough not to confuse you. Please feel free to ask more if you still wonder something, thank you.

Best regards,

Hi
I see here that you project is helping students to get well paid even if they don't have higher education degree.however I think we should focus more on encourage students to learn more that the secondary school.helping matriculants with learnerships or internships would be better. Kind regards and good luck

I think your idea is good as concept, but bad exposed to us. You said many students enter universities just for degrees. But this world needs qualified workers. You are right when you say the students should be guided to a suitable career path. But is not better to target your idea to graduated students?

Best wishes,
Andrei

Hi Shuhra,

Thank you for the question. I don't know whether there is a reply section or the web only allow us to put comments heap on others, so I just can post the reply above your question. Getting back to your doubt, here is my answer:

I will make profit by brokerage fees, which means that the ones who pay for us are those who want my project to counsel them in preparing their CVs/cover letters as well as the relevant laws and terms, conditions in Employment Contract; the high schools that want us to directly visit them (although I cast a slight doubt about this possibility), and the companies that are seeking for a considerable number of employees.

But that is a long-tern plan, since I definitely think that money would comes from raising capital at the beginning point because we have to start the business as an Nonprofit Organization (NPO) for a few years to earn the trust of the public.

Hope you satisfy with my answer. Feel free to give more questions as I will always be pleased to reply.
