THE USAGE OF SIDOARJO'S MUD VOLCANO as A SUPPLIER OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY

Sidoarjos mudflow (Lumpur Sidoarjo) is a disaster that disturbs the environment. The amount of hot mud in Sidoarjo is very abundant, but theres no effective utilization. During this time Lumpur Sidoarjo is just thrown into the Porong River. Lumpur Sidoarjo is still the concern because of many of high metal content such as Li, Pb, Zn, Hg, Pb, Cr, and Cu and 70% water and 30% solids which is fit into material of manufacture. By this, we can utilize Lumpur Sidoarjo into electrolytic fluid for the manufacture of Volta cells as an environmentally friendly electric source. Iron (Fe) and Copper (Cu) will be the electrodes, and when connected to the cable, as a conductor, it will produce an electric current. Electrical generator from Lumpur Sidoarjo, using voltaic cell working principle with Iron (Fe) and copper (Cu) as the electrodes, and Lumpur Sidoarjo as the main material. Some tools are used: 1) container (plastic jar), 2) cable, 3) electrode (Fe and Cu), 4) multitester, 5) and lamp. How to manufacture electrical generators from Lumpur Sidoarjo, begins with the preparation of container in this design using a plastic jar, followed by filling the container with Lumpur Sidoarjo. The device is tested in two stages, which measures the voltage with the multitester and by turning on the lamp. The result that we can get is the electricity generated is 7.07135 watt/hour. And it can reach an area of 4.405986 km2 or one residential area in one electricity production plant. The aims are to create Lumpur Sidoarjo as local and national scale electricity producer, to describe the concept and working mechanism of the utilization of Lumpur Sidoarjo as local and national electricity producers, and to formulate the effectiveness of the utilization of Lumpur Sidoarjo as an environmental electricity generator.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
Source of electrical energy is needed for the needs and daily work. The need for electrical energy always increases by the time. Electrical energy suppliers namely PLN (Perusahaan Listrik Negara) one day will washed-up and need alternative energy to overcome crisis electrical energy. With the 35,000 MW electricity program launched since May 2015, then by the end of 2019 the total installed power plant can reach 90,528.8. The problem is that the speed of infrastructure development is often less rapid than the national electricity demand growth, which last year was estimated at 7,000 MW or growth of 8.7 percent per year. So needed a renewable innovation to sustain electricity needs by making Lumpur Sidoarjo power plant. The predicted outcome to be obtained in using this idea is the needs for electric energy is fulfilled and increase the 35 gigawatts of electrical power. To implement it there are steps to evaluate the success, (1) Provision of Raw Material, Raw Material supply strategy includes; Exploration of metal substances in Lumpur Sidoarjo to be used include the availability of Lumpur Sidoarjos metal substances, the characteristics of Lumpur Sidoarjo, processing costs, licensing and clearing of Lumpur Sidoarjo exploration areas, displacement of final landfill to the area around Lumpur Sidoarjo with the legal permission for the availability of raw materials of household waste. (2) Factory Establishment, Strategy for factory establishment, among others; licensing for the establishment of factories to local governments and environment, working with investors for the funding, choosing the right factory contractors to decrease the capita cost, the process of plant establishment. (3) Marketing, strengthening strategy in marketing aspect is; cooperate with the Directorate General of Electricity, integration in terms of marketing both local and national, held socialization about the product electricity of Lumpur Sidoarjo among the society.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
The implementation plan can be implemented properly if supported by the following matters: 1. The further research in the efficiency of the industrial-scale design electric energy production process, 2. Commitment between government and society in supporting and giving permission for further development, 3. Assistance from investors through ownership of shares to diminish the cost of cost capita factory, 4. The existence of cooperation with the Directorate General of Electricity in terms of marketing and the further cooperation. Parties that are considered to be the corners of the realization of this idea are as follows. 1. Ministry of ESDM Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources through the Directorate General of Electricity should review the potential of Lumpur Sidoarjo as an electricity producer and realize it in the industry on a large scale. 2. Industry. The industry that is meant in it is Technician. Technicians in this case have a role as the part who designs (Lumpur Sidoarjo) Electricity producers on a large scale and as effectively as possible. Such as PT. PLN or other private power industry. 3. Environment and Mining Agency. Environment and Mining Agency in Sidoarjo play a role in monitoring the development of management activities (Lumpur Sidoarjo) Electricity producer.

It would compose the brand new idea of many things and it would raise a huge revolution in world development. As for some reasons behind me to join in this program that is to contribute carrying the name of Indonesia in International world, as a young generation, Id be honored to be the part of youth citizen entrepreneurship competition.
