App for antibiotics' prescription

This app has three objectives. One of them is to give the patients the best treatment available regarding bacteria infections. This would be achieved by the combination, in the app, of: epidemiological data of the region, provided by the health organization of the states, as well as by the WHO and epidemiological studies; patients' charts and characteristics, such as its symptoms and image exams, weight, height, sex, age, chronic diseases, exposition to previous bacterial infections, use of other antibiotics, etc.; bacterial resistance data of the hospital or region; medications provided by the local government; among others. The other goal is to avoid or slow down the growth of bacterial resistance to many antibiotics, even the strongest. That would be accomplished by the processing of all this data, resulting in the best treatment option, with the drug class, posology and time of use, as well as where it is available, the price and the possibility of government supply/subsidy. The last one is to reduce mortality, by giving the correct treatment in the right time to the right patient.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
The expected impact is the reduction of bacterial resistance growth, which would be measured by the proper functioning of the commonly used antibiotics. Besides, we expect a reduction in bacterial infection related mortality. Lastly, we expect a reduction in public health costs with unresolved or poorly treated bacterial infections, result of better treatment.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
The app would be available to doctors and other health professionals. It would be free for download, and sponsored by the pharmaceutical labs, as well as government agencies. It would have a database on the locals of implantation, fed by epidemiological data provided by universities researches, government researches, hospitals and health professionals. It should be light, in order to work on old and new devices, and work offline, for areas without internet network. Primarily, it would have the collaboration of medical students and universities, in order to create and launch the app. Posteriorly, it would have contributions of every user, in addiction to those already mentioned.
