Over the past decades, the population has scaled up dramatically and this brought about ever increasing demand for electricity. The non-renewable energy resources have negative impact on the planet. Therefore, the importance of renewable energy is undeniable. Solar panels and wind turbines are the sources utilised primarily to meet the electricity demand renewably. The outcome energy produced by those is delivered to the cities by electricity transmission towers (pylons) which stand for electricity on the ground. By making the pylons smarter, not only our world will benefit from massive contribution for electricity but also benefit from field usage issues at local and (inter)national level. This idea has the potential to keep our planet lasted more by providing maximum contribution at once. With its incorporated 2 home type wind turbines and 16 solar panels, one pylon will produce up to 29600 kWh annually. The two wind turbines are rotable all the way around, and the solar panels are placed onto the both side of the top allow benefiting from sun whole day.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
Our world is forming fast compared to the past due to the industrialisation. With this forming, current solutions to the problems mostly are not enough or will not in upcoming years. That is why UN has listed the goals that member states must complete before the deadline. The world can provide us finite resources. Meaning, minimum investment - maximum benefit is the high priority. Without affordable and clean energy, communities are more likely to be effected significantly and without it, production will stop after a time. The concept of Smart Pylon will not only enable undeveloped and developing countries benefit from wind and solar energy at the same time but also provide societies the opportunity not to waste money and labour for constructing solely wind turbines or solar panels which cost a lot. Also, it will provide solution to the conflicts arise from land usage and ownership. Besides, owing to its structure, it addresses Goal 7 by ensuring 'affordable,reliable, sustainable and modern energy'; Goal 9 by providing 'innovative infrastructure' for grid systems; Goal 11 by allowing 'cities and human settlements to be safe, resilient and sustainable' and Goal 13 by enabling the societies 'to take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts'.

The first cost of investment might be quite high compared to normal ones. But when cost-benefit analysis is made, that is seen that it is worth. Based on the average calculations, one pylon will provide up to 29600 kWh energy where an average home consumes electricity annually around 10000 kWh, meaning one pylon feeds (almost) 3 home. Thus, there is no need for governments not to support this idea (by grants and initiatives).
