Language and Entrepreneurship Capacity Building
Explain your project in details:
In Cote d´Ivoire, poverty is rampant, mainly due to lack of quality education. Some people fail to get some opportunities because they do not speak English language. In the globalization, English language opens the doors to job opportunities and education. This project targets all generations and also illiterate populations, from younger one up to adult. We are reinforcing the speaking, reading, writing and listening skills of the people . We are planning to set up an E-learning platform and mobile apps to make it easier for people to practice English language. Actually, we are ptoviding two services ; teaching English and Entrepreneurship. So apart from reinforcing people's English language , we will also have a department that will organize boot camp, conferences and seminars to develop the Entrepreneurial skills of entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs because In Cote d´Ívoire, like in many other developing countries mostly young people scare to create their own enterprise as our educational systems does not consider entrepreneurship capacity building. Our training will give them more confidence to engage in Entrepreneurship arena . We also aim to create an incubator for young entrepreneurs to technicallly support them and give them space to accelerate their business at early stage.
Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development
In terms of impact the project is yielding good results, since the launch of the project in 2013, we have developed the English language of over three hundred people, some have succeeded in their language tests and are studying in the USA and Asian universities today. Others are working in international companies today because they succeed in language job interviews. We have organized entrepreneurship capacity building trainings to enhance the capacities of forty -two (42) entrepreneurs. The result is wonderful as one the participant has successfully launched an online platform to sell goods. Another one overcame fears and he is planning to partner with the US Embassy in Abidjan to teach English language to kids.
