Explain your project in details:

The function of the device is to locate objects through a voice command. When the person with or without visual disabilities mentions the keyword such as: objects or spaces of the house, the identifier will begin to vibrate depending on the distance that is the corresponding sticker, at 10 m distance the identifier will vibrate 2 times / 10 s, when this at 5 m will vibrate 4 times / 10 s, when this at 3 m will vibrate 1 time / 1s, if it is 1 meter, it will vibrate constantly. In addition to that, each of them is printed in the respective braille to the object you are looking for. This allows the visually disabilities person to be independent to look for objects that use within an infrastructure or to orient themselves in public places. Also, after the person finds the object or gets to the destination, the bracelet will praise with motivating phrases that will encourage the user to continue using this search method. It also has the free search mechanism in which the person with the visual disabilities walks freely around the house passing around the stickers and the identifier will recognize and start vibrating and making intermittent sounds until arriving at close to 1 or 2 meters away. The bracelet will also tell you the name of the object that is next to the person. The objetives are: • Independence of children and adults with visual sensory deficiencies • Allow location of objects and places without the need for a second person • Determine good health of space and time orientation through cognitive development • Strengthen health through a mobile application, intended for the use of first-degree relatives or guardians that allows the child and / or adult's overall, seeing the accomplishments per day.

Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development

There are approximately 285 million visually disabled people in the world, of which 39 million are blind and 246 million have low vision and it is estimated that in 2020 the number of blindness will be 90 million. The community of people with visual disabilities needs adequate technology because this disability affects the individual avoiding to correctly see the objects and locate them for which he/she needs to be identified with a modified format. You need to use touch (for the braille system primarily), listen to sound recordings or read texts in enlarged characters which allows you some independence and full access to knowledge. Visual disabilities may be caused by improper development of the visual organs or by ailments or accidents affecting the eyes, visual pathways, or brain. Due to all this, inadequate gestation development brings this kind of disability as a result. Also we can add that disability is generated from a disease which can cause vision decrease. Therefore, other methods for the visually impaired are to avoid obstacles or find objects of little use, but this bracelet has a wider search method of greater scope and range. It makes it possible for a single voice command to locate a object duly identified at a distance of approximately 10 meters, in addition to a system of free location so that the person who uses it acquires a cognitive development in the orientation to memorize where are the most frequent objects or spaces in an infrastructure or free way. In addition, the mobile application in IOS or Android phone will evaluate the parameters that will be measured daily through the use of the bracelet to carry out scales and determine the health status of the patient and carry a comprehensive management.

Sustainability and future plans

In Nicaragua, I have participated in national innovation contests where I have won a prize for the great acceptance of people for the feasibility, profitability and social support, and according to the comments, they would love to see it at a global level. However, a high-level investment and investment assistance would be needed to fulfill it and create an industrial market for this. It aims at making alliances with organizations that work with the learning of people with visual disabilities, as well as hospitals that provide care to these patients and can promote the use of this bracelet for their supportive treatment, as well as creating around the world own branches of the company for the sale of the bracelets with the different stickers, which are intended to be purchased by the general public in order to help the needed people and place them in public or private places and thus the person with disabilities can move satisfactorily. Other of my passions is to contribute to my country and to create the foreign attention in the technological field, education and health. If my project wins and I gain the recognition, maybe I will be able to run my company in my country and many countries of the world in association with organizations for blind people and give more options of employment and include the disabled people to work on it, as well as getting globalized it in the not long term future and disseminate my company worldwide. And also that from my starting point to produce income for my future projects that are based on health and technology which I have in waiting list for few economic resources. I want to contribute in the increase of i + d + i and the gross domestic product in Nicaragua.

Your profile as an entrepreneur

Since I was a small child I loved to be self-taught in innovation and to modify some inventions or recreate old inventions as a hobby, 4 years ago I began to study medicine and I realized that my hobbies could be combined with medicine, from that moment I thought Create or devise some inventions and innovations that are needed in the social and medical field for a better treatment and care, for 2 years I have been dedicated to investigate what are the most common medical problems due to lack of technological resources in my country and in others Countries with low index of investment in these devices, that impulse me even more and to devise alternative solutions starting from the smallest to creating project with greater social impact than even development, that is why since last year, I stopped being anonymous and decided to enter Innovations that promote solutions to social problems, as in the Latin American rally of innovation last year, S this year I had the opportunity to take part in something more focused on medicine and innovation and concurred in the IDEATON that consisted in creating inclusion ideas for people with visual disabilities that was organized by Teleton and the national council of technology and innovation of my country, the Who believes this bracelet sensoperceptivo and I was the winner, since that time in participated in online courses on entrepreneurship and I have followed up to participate in competitions Central American and national prizes of innovation that have not yet been made, where I hope to win , And so the people of the world know my country through my effort to attract the investment in the medical technology, which has little medical economic income for the population, and thus gain recognition to continue creating more

Hello fellow passenger,

You might have heard the famous song "What I've done" by Linkin park. The lyrics have been beautifully carved by the late singer Chester Bennington. The song covers the ways in which our so called development has helped only a handful of the upper society members, whereas people are still living in poverty.

We have a great platform here which is urging super brains from around the world to come together and collaborate with their ideas and help make this world a better place to live in. You have been a part of this community and I congratulate you on your effort that you have put in.

Thanks once again and all the best for the future

Comrades,
In this fight for a sustainable future, what we need is innovation; something which is not necessarily new, but which makes us look at things from a different angle.

I believe this is one of the major motives of this community which we are a part of. Taking one step together hand in hand towards our goal is the only way we can achieve it.

So I wish you the very best in this endeavour of yours and hope to see you together in the new tomorrow

Dear Fellow participant,

You have done well thus far. Only few people will venture relentlessly into the things in which their instincts proposes because sometimes the goal appears too crazy to achieve, so they just retreat.

Actually, someone has said that "The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

You may have seen this before but I want to remind you that it's true, only those who are "crazy enough" eventually get results.

Congratulations for been "crazy enough" (seeing beyond normal and following your dreams despite the odds)...

Best wishes,
Seth

Hello,
Being a part of India's well-known Entrepreneurship Cell of the most prestigious engineering college in India, I have interacted with many startup enthusiasts, have got to know how they think and what are some qualities that set them apart from the ones who are not able to see their idea through. Reading through your idea, I have realised that your idea has that spark which can help it become a successful venture. Coupled with its aim to help the society achieve its goals sustainably, your idea can be something quite helpful for the same.

But before it's implementation, you need to do a "premortem" check on how it can fail. This would prepare you for any uncalled-for circumstances and help you prepare for them accordingly.

Lastly, I would like you to have a look at our idea, GreenSpace, and share your views about the same.

Regards,
Team GreenSpace.

Hello,
I invite you kindly to comment my idea Path To Knowledge. I would be glad to hear your advice. I have written this message after I commented almost all ideas and projects and probably yours too. I am deeply sorry if this message bothered you, but everyone on this platform wants to go to the finals with his/her idea and makes all it is possible to get there. Maybe not all the actions are fair. Some participants copy the same meaningless message and paste it to all ideas. I just do marketing. Again, I am sorry if this message disturbed you.
Kindest regards,
Andrei

Hello Kevin!

I'm impressed with your idea, because it is very innovative. I admire your entrepreneurial spirit and drive, as this idea will go a long way to support the people with sensory deficiencies.

I have a question;
As the sensory bracelet vibrates based on the location of the items, what are the health risks associating the vibration?

I wish you success and you may stop by on my idea to add your contribution.

Best of Luck!

Hi Seth Thomas

Thank you very much for your very good question, it is a disturbing question, the tags will be reproduced in a way that they are not visible when they are placed in the objects or spaces that are intended, answering you, it is the objective that people with visual disabilities identify themselves for carry out everyday life, in addition to putting labels on public roads and thus provide security where you walk nearby objects or ask for directions.

June 22, 2017 09:01

Hi Seel
Thank you very much, and excellent question, I like it, it is well sensitive it is almost the same as sensors, uses technology that occupy the radios through this the distance is measured, as the description of the project says even the maximum range is 10 meters but is being tested and for Expand capacity greater than 10 meters.

June 17, 2017 09:04

Congratulations Kevin on your project!

It really helps people who are in need of this but I have a question
How does it work and detect the objects around? Use of sensors? Also is there a range of distance it can detect after which it can not work?

Thanks and best of luck!

June 16, 2017 09:22

This is really going to be a highly needed technology, it's a good initiative. But does it mean these stickers has to be placed on every item in the house or just a selected few especially those familiar to the person?

June 16, 2017 06:13

June 15, 2017 00:50

Hi Adam
Thanks for your comment and your questions
Well in the first part my product is more accessible and low cost to other products.
It has greater added value, and has different functionalities and more use.
In my product have goals records met and then evaluate monthly if the device is actually helping the person.
Among many other things, the challenge of competing is difficult, for that I am in the competition and attract the attention of everyone and get contacts to help me market this product

June 14, 2017 20:50

Hello,

This is an amazing idea and really promotes independence to individuals who are visually impaired. My question is how will you compete with other products like this on the market all over the world? What will make your product standout?

June 14, 2017 04:16

Dear Louison
Hi, thanks for you positive comment, I like your question, maybe I can answer it The technological component of my device is found in many technological products and are used in different ways, it has not become a search mechanism to how I do it, that is why joining several technological pieces can arm this bracelet, we are in period Test and clinical trial

Hi Frank,
thanks for the comment, that's the idea of working to build the bracelets in bulk to cover the vast majority of the demand and the more cheap coverage the product could be, because more than 70% of people with these disabilities They have low income and need this search device to become more professional.

And answering the second question, if of course, I rely on this idea driven in a national contest of the teleton foundation which is responsible for creating early education center for children with disabilities and they were more than fascinated and happy for My idea and win the competition in my country, from there I came with my idea and I have financed my costs so I resort to this competition to create contacts and to get to know more project and create a seed fund to finance my project
