Explain your project in details:

Pregnant women are more vulnerable to malaria than other adults; they are four times more likely to get malaria and twice as likely to die of it. In Tanzania, malaria is the leading cause of morbidity, accounting for approximately 40% of attendance at outpatient clinics. It is estimated that malaria accounts for 22 percent of under-five and nonmortality and 9 percent of maternal deaths. In Geita district, over 6,420 ITNs have been issued out since 2008. However, malaria is still the leading health concern; in the Geita district; approximately 38% of all visits to outpatient clinics are related to malaria symptoms. The main objective of this project is to evaluate the coverage and consistent use of ITNs among pregnant women in Geita district.

Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development

METHODS: Possession and use of ITNs will be assessed using across-sectional design survey method, which will be conducted in five villages within two wards in Geita District. Three hundred and eight four (384) pregnant women will be sampled from the study communities. The data will be analysed using stata software. Descriptive statistics and non-parametric tests such as Chi-squire will be employed in the analysis of field data.

MY EXPECTED OUTCOMES: To better understand the prevalence of possession and use of bed nets among pregnant women in Geita District, Tanzania. (b) Data analysis method: The demographic background information, the knowledge information, attitude information, practice information and the social economic information of the members of sampled households will be collected. Socio-economic status of the households will be assessed by using Social Economic Wealth Quintile (SEWQ) which it has different scores. Collected data from questionnaires will be coded, then entered and analyzed using STATA version 13. Descriptive such as Chi- Square will be deployed in the analysis of data collected also tables and charts of collected data will be constructed using Microsoft office excels from the field. Analysis of variance one way shall be used to compare the groups and inferential statistics will be performed to establish factors that will be important in influencing variations of outcome variables. Bivarient regression will be used to determine association of the outcome variables with explanatory variables by 95% CI of crude odd ratio and p value. Variables with P-value less than 0.05 in the bivarient regression analysis will be entered to multivariate regressions. Multivariate regression analysis will be used to identify independent associated factors of outcome variables. Finally statistical association will be declared at 95% CI level, adjusted odd ratio and p value less than 0.05

Dear Resiliant Entrepreneur,

It's the end of the competition, I want to urge you to not leave this community without the contact (email especially) of as many other entrepreneurs on this platform. You never can tell what your further conversations may produce.

It's the power of networking and leverage I'm talking about...
Here's my email [email protected] looking forward to hearing from you.

Bye fellow entrepreneur:
As I say good buy, I must say it has been an astounding time reading so many great entries.
I went through the details of your idea and was indeed very impressed. Would you be kind enough to please explain to me as how you got this idea? Equally importantly, who were (are) the people who inspired you for you to come up with this idea.
Take care and all the very best!

Hello fellow passenger,

You might have heard the famous song "What I've done" by Linkin park. The lyrics have been beautifully carved by the late singer Chester Bennington. The song covers the ways in which our so called development has helped only a handful of the upper society members, whereas people are still living in poverty.

We have a great platform here which is urging super brains from around the world to come together and collaborate with their ideas and help make this world a better place to live in. You have been a part of this community and I congratulate you on your effort that you have put in.

Thanks once again and all the best for the future

Hello my fellow traveler, How are you feeling as our road ends temporarily?
I have just seen your entry and have been thoroughly impressed by it. Will you be willing to collaborate incase you want to set it up on ground?
I would like to be in touch with you,
Cheers from Kabul.

Comrades,
In this fight for a sustainable future, what we need is innovation; something which is not necessarily new, but which makes us look at things from a different angle.

I believe this is one of the major motives of this community which we are a part of. Taking one step together hand in hand towards our goal is the only way we can achieve it.

So I wish you the very best in this endeavour of yours and hope to see you together in the new tomorrow

Hello campus members,

Being a part of India's well-known Entrepreneurship Cell of the most prestigious engineering college in India, I have interacted with many startup enthusiasts, have got to know how they think and what are some qualities that set them apart from the ones who are not able to see their idea through. Reading through your idea, I have realized that your idea has that spark which can help it become a successful venture. Coupled with its aim to help the society achieve its goals sustainably, your idea can be something quite helpful for the same.

But before it's implementation, you need to do a "premortem" check on how it can fail. This would prepare you for any uncalled-for circumstances and help you prepare for them accordingly.

Lastly, I would like you to have a look at our idea, GreenSpace, and share your views about the same.

Regards,
For Team GreenSpace.

Dear Fellow participant,

You have done well thus far. Only few people will venture relentlessly into the things in which their instincts proposes because sometimes the goal appears too crazy to achieve, so they just retreat.

Actually, someone has said that "The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

You may have seen this before but I want to remind you that it's true, only those who are "crazy enough" eventually get results.

Congratulations for been "crazy enough" (seeing beyond normal and following your dreams despite the odds)...

Best wishes,
Seth

Also,

Remember it's not over until it's over.
It may be just a few days to the end of the competition but it's not the end of your dreams
There's still a lot you can achieve.
Stay focused.

Best of Luck! And keep it up

Congratulations!!!!!!!
Without change there is no innovation, creativity, or incentive for improvement. Those who initiate change will have a better opportunity to manage the change that is inevitable. So change this world with your idea.
Wishing you all the success and hope you will be there in the finals.

BEST OF LUCK

Hellow dear Campus members,
The idea of this project is,
PROBLEM IS THAT,
In Tanzania, programmes organised under the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MoHSW) as well as the Roll Back Malaria (RBM) program has succeeded in addressing some aspect of malaria related problems. These programs have resulted in a decrease in mortality due to malaria from 100,000 to 80,000 per annum in Tanzania. Insecticide treated bed nets (ITNs) may be the most effective way of preventing malaria infections especially among pregnant women who are the vulnerable group. The use of ITNs among Tanzanians in general is low for several reasons including accessibility of the nets and socioeconomic factors of household members .
Currently, there is limited information on the coverage and consistent use of ITNs among people living in endemic areas such as Geita district . The importance of developing a better understanding of coverage and consistent use of ITNs in Geita is supported by recent published evidence on their misuse and misperception in other areas of Tanzania. Therefore, the proposed study intends to examine the coverage and consistent use of ITNs in Geita District, in area of Tanzania where malaria is endemic.
In Geita District, malaria among pregnant women is high despite distribution of ITNs by the District Health Management Team (DHMT) and the introduction of various educational programmes. The Districts annual report for 2009 showed only a 0.2% reduction in malaria among pregnant women who reported at the health facilities in the District despite massive distribution of ITNs to pregnant women in the district. Thus, the question of ITNs usage among pregnant women in Geita District has not been adequately addressed. This study will investigate usage of ITNs by pregnant women in Geita District who attend antenatal clinics and examine factors that could be hindering usage of ITN by these women .

I would like to thanks all for your initiative comment and vote.
Lets comes and build together,
Regards
Geni Mabelya

Hello,
I invite you kindly to comment my idea Path To Knowledge. I would be glad to hear your advice. I have written this message after I commented almost all ideas and projects and probably yours too. I am deeply sorry if this message bothered you, but everyone on this platform wants to go to the finals with his/her idea and makes all it is possible to get there. Maybe not all the actions are fair. Some participants copy the same meaningless message and paste it to all ideas. I just do marketing. Again, I am sorry if this message disturbed you.
