Your profile as an entrepreneur

My name is Innocent Mbanda, I am 27 years old and I am from Rwanda. I was born in the family of 5 children with one brother and three sisters. I grow up in a community where it was not easy to get the basic needs. I remember some of our parents wake up early in the morning to go to work in order to get what to eat or money for school fees. I remember when I was young, I use to stay home with my mother and she use to tell me when I grow up and become man, do not forget to help other. Back in high school, I liked to volunteer in community projects, like building the house of orphans and helping the helpless people to have access to basic needs. In 2013, I started working in AIRTEL Rwanda as Customer care executive where I worked one year and I got another opportunity to work in government institution. Due to I was in final year at National University of Rwanda, I was asked to leave my job and went for internship. In 2015, I graduated from National University of Rwanda with a bachelors degree in Economics and Education. After graduation, I come to know that I the skills I got to university are not enough to help me to compete at job market. I decide to join Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) in USA through Kepler Program where I am competing my bachelors degree in Logistic and operations. I grow with the mission to help others as my mother asked me about it. At SNHU, I also started volunteering in YEEJO TV LTD a media house company as administrative assistant. In June, 2016, I organized my fellow youth to come join me start IGIRE RWANDAORGANIZATION

Dear Resiliant Entrepreneur,

It's the end of the competition, I want to urge you to not leave this community without the contact (email especially) of as many other entrepreneurs on this platform. You never can tell what your further conversations may produce.

It's the power of networking and leverage I'm talking about...
Here's my email [email protected] looking forward to hearing from you.

Bye fellow entrepreneur:
As I say good buy, I must say it has been an astounding time reading so many great entries.
I went through the details of your idea and was indeed very impressed. Would you be kind enough to please explain to me as how you got this idea? Equally importantly, who were (are) the people who inspired you for you to come up with this idea.
Take care and all the very best!

August 31, 2017 22:24

Hello fellow passenger,

You might have heard the famous song "What I've done" by Linkin park. The lyrics have been beautifully carved by the late singer Chester Bennington. The song covers the ways in which our so called development has helped only a handful of the upper society members, whereas people are still living in poverty.

We have a great platform here which is urging super brains from around the world to come together and collaborate with their ideas and help make this world a better place to live in. You have been a part of this community and I congratulate you on your effort that you have put in.

Thanks once again and all the best for the future

I have just seen your entry and have been thoroughly impressed by it. Will you be willing to collaborate incase you want to set it up on ground?
I would like to be in touch with you,
Cheers from Kabul.

August 31, 2017 20:45

In this fight for a sustainable future, what we need is innovation; something which is not necessarily new, but which makes us look at things from a different angle.

I believe this is one of the major motives of this community which we are a part of. Taking one step together hand in hand towards our goal is the only way we can achieve it.

So I wish you the very best in this endeavour of yours and hope to see you together in the new tomorrow

Dear Fellow participant,

You have done well thus far. Only few people will venture relentlessly into the things in which their instincts proposes because sometimes the goal appears too crazy to achieve, so they just retreat.

Actually, someone has said that "The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

You may have seen this before but I want to remind you that it's true, only those who are "crazy enough" eventually get results.

Congratulations for been "crazy enough" (seeing beyond normal and following your dreams despite the odds)...

Best wishes,

Remember it's not over until it's over.
It may be just a few days to the end of the competition but it's not the end of your dreams
There's still a lot you can achieve.
Stay focused.

Being a part of India's well-known Entrepreneurship Cell of the most prestigious engineering college in India, I have interacted with many startup enthusiasts, have got to know how they think and what are some qualities that set them apart from the ones who are not able to see their idea through. Reading through your idea, I have realised that your idea has that spark which can help it become a successful venture. Coupled with its aim to help the society achieve its goals sustainably, your idea can be something quite helpful for the same.

But before it's implementation, you need to do a "premortem" check on how it can fail. This would prepare you for any uncalled-for circumstances and help you prepare for them accordingly.

Lastly, I would like you to have a look at our idea, GreenSpace, and share your views about the same.

This project is real life changing as it takes from vulnerable to valuable workers. I want to ask how will you make sure that girls( premature pregnant and dropping from school just to join your project, how do you handle that. Congulatulation for the efforts and good progress you have just shown here.

August 19, 2017 14:15

I invite you kindly to comment my idea Path To Knowledge. I would be glad to hear your advice. I have written this message after I commented almost all ideas and projects and probably yours too. I am deeply sorry if this message bothered you, but everyone on this platform wants to go to the finals with his/her idea and makes all it is possible to get there. Maybe not all the actions are fair. Some participants copy the same meaningless message and paste it to all ideas. I just do marketing. Again, I am sorry if this message disturbed you.

Hi Innocent,

Great to learn about you through the interview. I have found your project interesting and i though you might want to appreciate similar concept in Malawi on this website ( ).

Wishing you all the best.

August 15, 2017 11:38

Hi Innocent
I real recognize your idea, this can help the marginalized girls to find their own job, I suggest this program to be provided to the schools in remote areas to prepare them for Digital world.
Best wishes.

August 14, 2017 11:57

I am thrilled to work with Igire Rwanda Organisation to deliver quality skills to these underprivileged girls. This project is essentially transforming the lives of these girls through knowledge acquired and enabling them to pursue their careers. Best of luck @Igire

August 14, 2017 11:37

This is an awesome project. In fact, Rwanda has taken the decision to develop its economy based on technology. Also, the country is known as a model of women rights promotion. I think this project will contribute a lot to this national perspective, but also will serve as a model to the whole world.

August 14, 2017 10:11

Most girls in Rwanda find difficulties in engaging themselves in ICT due to different mindsets of the society and insufficient resources to help them improve on ICT skills. I am certain this program will come as an answer to the current challenge and help girls from vulnerable back grounds to have the right skills that can increase the professional development.

Kindly support this exciting idea that the fellow youth are keen to improve the standard of livings of these girls.

August 13, 2017 15:45

This is a wonderful idea of thinking about the ladies who can change the world as well as themselves through ICT.
I encourage you to work hard and it always pays. Developing youth is a good preparation for a better future.

August 12, 2017 10:46

I like your project. It will help the women empowerment in that area, but I hope you will develop it. The position of a woman must grow up these days till will never be gender discrimination. I think it can be possible. Keep continue with this project!

August 11, 2017 18:52

Empowering girls in ICT is to give them the opportunity for job creation. Supporting girls is to support future mothers hence contributing to the wellness of the families and society as a whole.

Ezechiel Ndayisaba

August 11, 2017 18:22

I like the idea. Girls will by then be equipped with new technologies, which helps to enhance the economy of the country and the region as well. It also goes in the context of gender equality, which figures in the list of the sustainable development goals toward which all the development stakeholders should be working.

Good job and all the best.

August 11, 2017 15:46

This is amazing. Keep it up and hope you get supported by Unesco and other organizations that can help you make this happen. Regarding today\'s world, there is a need to help young people especially women to learn and use technology in whatever they do. I am happy you brought this into actions and hope it reaches a wide range of people.

August 11, 2017 05:47

Great Project. I want to invite you to vote for my project and comment if you want it.
Thanks and good luck

August 6, 2017 12:42

Happy to work with the founders of Igire Rwanda Org to support their beneficiaries with engineering skills through Kepler Tech Lab.. After all explained in this project, girls take electronics and computer programming classes.

June 7, 2017 21:06

Dear Innocent,

Thank you so much for the great idea. I am sure that vulnerable ladies' lives will be positively improved. Again, it is good that they will be learning about ICT and other professional career behaviors.

June 7, 2017 17:12

greetings MR : Innocent Mbanda,

This is a very good project, since everyone has equal rights and duties. Everyone has the right to education and health care because human resources are the main element in the wheel of production, which is very good for society, because justice is the foundation of the Authority
may I ask if there are application for that project so as you could gather the information and the feedback to know more about women's stories and could help them faster and more easy ?
best wishes :)

June 6, 2017 23:31

Dear Louison Mbombo,

Thank you so much for your comment. I really appreciate your questions. To answer your questions; The project is designed to help girls who have dropped out of the school or stopped due to different difficulties to learn basic computer skills like Microsoft suite, computer and internet skills and effective use of social media. Again, girls will learn advanced computer skills like web development, mobile application development. On top of those, girls will learn entrepreneurship skills, professional competence skills and also work ethic. The reason for this business skills is to help girls to draft business proposals and plans so that they can get funding or loans for their project. For example, we have a group of girls who want to start the cyber cafe in their community where people can go to use the internet. As an estimation, this project should help girls to earn $56 per day.

The organization is committed to assist girls in getting the loans and funds for their projects and also continue to provide support during the implementation of the project.

Thank you again for asking!

Please let me know if you have any other question.

June 6, 2017 22:10

Hello Mr. Innocent MBANDA ,

Your project is very good to help the vulnerable girls .Than i have some question to know more how you will help them. The project proposal identifies a realistic problem .You want to invest to population vulnerable
What project will enable girls to become financially independent? You train them to what? What kind of busness? Are there any specific program to empower them or you train them in all things the acording there skills?

I look forward to hear from you .
