Explain your project in details:
The key element in this project is to approach already established, defined and yet wide target group (Scouts) and present them not just content but also methodologies to implement GE (global education) in practice, especially in the area of EU13. This enables us to implement tailor-made activities on national and local levels. Furthermore, using existing international Scout networks and channels we are able to act on a truly pan-European scale (7 countries reached directly, more than 40 countries in Europe including all EU member states indirectly through involvement of global Scout organisations). Our project is significantly empowering Scouts in target countries to be actors of change towards sustainable and responsible attitudes amongst other Scouts, their peers and their families. They understand global interdependencies and the role they can play in them; furthermore, they know how to recognize opportunities for change and assume responsibilities. Through international Scout networks the action is having organic spill-over effect into other European countries and globally. Project activities are aimed on the non-formal education of the themes of GE. This is mostly maid by active participation on national and international scout events with workshops and lectures aimed on different themes from global connection of world, trough gender equality, media manipulation and refugee to the Fairtrade and less sources demanding consumption. This active approach is also supported by articles in scout magazines and project tools, methodologies and games that are available for everyone online.

During the first two years of the project we manage to established group of 105 experts in all 7 project countries which performed more than 230 seminars and educated more than 4 218 scout leaders. Beside them the project touched 8 456 other scouts (not leaders) directly on workshop and over 402 000 scouts indirectly by articles in magazines and social media posts. Project was presented on 145 national and 7 international events and lead to 211 GE programs and 159 informed actions (actions with local and global awareness raising context) made by the previous workshop participants. In the questionnaire that go to participants of all the workshops in Czech Republic 80% of the scouts responded that they somehow used the gained information and 71% of them speak with someone else about the GE themes. Even 26% of them claim they changed their behaviour because of the things they learned or heard on the workshops. The project also have its own, external evaluation which reflex the achievements and goals of the project and valuating the achieved goals and milestones.

Project is mostly fancied by the European Union with 5% co-financing rate from other sources. Sustainability of the project can be divided into several groups. First one are experts, lecturers that were trained in the project and will be delivering GE content on national level also after the official projects end. Second group is covered by the scout movements in the project countries which are willing to distribute the developed tools and methodologies between their members not just now but also in the future years that are coming. Third group is availability of the tools and materials. All materials made in the project are and will be available online so the sustainability of the ideas is secured. We are also trying to find another project calls that will allow us to continue in the project and deliver the topics of GE to scouts in more countries or to schools.

One of the key members of the team is Ondej Stejskal (born 1990) which is in the project Scouting our way towards active global citizenship in EYD 2015 and Beyond involved on position of project coordinator for national activities and methodology. He is in charge of developing the tools, coordinating their preparation from their content to the final graphical design and distribution. He have the necessary education (Magister degree from Masaryk University in Brno) and also the detailed information about the scout environment. He is part of the organisation teams of the big scout events in Czech Republic like Obrok (nationwide meeting of Scouts, Rovers and Rangers, which focuses on establishing new friendships, inspiration, experiences, self-development, and empowerment of the Scout Movement) or BambiFest (active show of organisations and interest groups working with children and youth).

Hi Anita,
we made a small questionnaire survey in the beginning of this year and we find out that thanks to our project young people speak more about the global topics (80 % of asked youth speak about themes they hear about on our workshop at least with 2 more people) We also see that each year the number of informed actions (local actions with global effects) is raising. We can also see that youth people start to look more critically on the topics around them and start to think about the world. Its really hart how to quantify the change. You cant measure the small changes in mind of young people but we hope that the "seeds" we planted in their minds will "grow and flower" in some time.
