Explain your project in details:

National Young Leaders Conference on Sustainable Development aims to make the Sustainable Development Goals campaign more localized and for youth leaders especially those at the grassroots to acquire the necessary knowledge and enhance the skills needed to participate in sustainable development initiatives. For 2017 NYLC, held in General Santos City last May 20- 23, 2017, 200 local youth leaders from across the country underwent leadership training, advocacy- specific discussions, policy- formulation simulation, and community engagement wherein they were given the venue to tackle issues they and their respective communities face and intellectualize policies aimed at addressing these issues. Specifically, NYLC aims to achieve the following objectives: 1. Improve local youth leaders understanding of Sustainable Development Goals; 2. Build the capacity of the delegates in conceptualizing policies gearing towards the realizations of the SDGs; 3. Engage youth leaders in designing programs tailored- fit to the needs of their respective communities; 4. Encourage the delegates to bring the SDG campaign to the grassroots; and 5. Foster ties and cooperation in future sustainable development initiatives targeted at the youth. By exposing the youth to realities at the local level, and by equipping them with "practical" knowledge and skills, to we will be able to develop their potentials to effectively act upon issues actually existing at the grassroots. Further, we will be able to unite all sectors of the society through the youth and take a more aggressive and proactive stance towards achieving these 17 Global Goals in the next 13 years which is hoped to bring about the inclusive growth and development we have all been dreaming of.

Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development

Divided into 4 clusters namely: People, Prosperity, Planet and Peace (after the essential elements of Sustainable Development Goals), the delegates underwent boot camps and discussions and were directed to draft policies to solve the issues encountered by the City of GenSan, as the model community, and its people, in relation to the SDG essential elements they are advocating for. Specifically, they were tasked to conceptualize 1 ordinance and 1 resolution per cluster during cluster intersessional meetings. All policies were then deliberated upon during the final session of Young Leaders' Council, composed of elected cluster representatives, for necessary revisions and amendments and for final approval. All approved policies were endorsed to the City Council of General Santos for further study and possible implementation. The delegates also got the chance to engage with and participate in activities in the community and know about best practices of the local government unit of, and private organizations and institutions in, the model community -- practices that are in line with the principles set forth by the UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development.

Your profile as an entrepreneur

Having been a youth leader since I was 14, through my election as one of the councilors of our village's Sangguniang Kabataan (Youth Council) with a term of three years, I've had a lot of experiences especially in youth affairs and development. We have conducted such programs contributing greatly to the personal growth of our youth constituents as: Scholarship Program, Capability- Building programs, Socio- Cultural Programs, Sports Development and Physical Fitness. Being a Sangguniang Kabataan Councilor also inspired me to advocate for and promote inclusive and participatory governance at the grassroots level. From then on, I became very active, in one way or another, in societal affairs focusing on community and social development. Now, at 24, I have been active in advocating for SDGs 01: No Poverty, 04: Education for All, 05: Gender Equality, 10: Reduced Inequalities, 08: Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 16: Peace, Justice, Strong Institutions and Good Governance, as well as SDG 17: Partnership for the Goals. Just this January, I was able to attend the Asia- Pacific Youth Exchange, held at ADB Headquarters in Ortigas City, Philippines. There, I was taught about Sustainable Development Goals, released by the United Nations as replacement to the Millennium Development Goals, and acquire practical knowledge on how to solve issues that the SDG's are aiming to solve. I then focused on localizing the SDG Campaign for I believe that the best and the most effective approach would be the bottom- up approach. And with the trust, help and support of our team, the partner government institution, the Local Government of General Santos City and partner iNGO's Asia Pacific Youth Exchange, Urban Youth Academy and Asian Development Bank- Youth for Asia, NYLC was born.

Dear Resiliant Entrepreneur,

It's the end of the competition, I want to urge you to not leave this community without the contact (email especially) of as many other entrepreneurs on this platform. You never can tell what your further conversations may produce.

It's the power of networking and leverage I'm talking about...
Here's my email [email protected] looking forward to hearing from you.

Bye fellow entrepreneur:
As I say good buy, I must say it has been an astounding time reading so many great entries.
I went through the details of your idea and was indeed very impressed. Would you be kind enough to please explain to me as how you got this idea? Equally importantly, who were (are) the people who inspired you for you to come up with this idea.
Take care and all the very best!

Hello fellow passenger,

You might have heard the famous song "What I've done" by Linkin park. The lyrics have been beautifully carved by the late singer Chester Bennington. The song covers the ways in which our so called development has helped only a handful of the upper society members, whereas people are still living in poverty.

We have a great platform here which is urging super brains from around the world to come together and collaborate with their ideas and help make this world a better place to live in. You have been a part of this community and I congratulate you on your effort that you have put in.

Thanks once again and all the best for the future
Regards,
Team GreenSpace

Hello my fellow traveler, How are you feeling as our road ends temporarily?
I have just seen your entry and have been thoroughly impressed by it. Will you be willing to collaborate incase you want to set it up on ground?
I would like to be in touch with you,
Cheers from Kabul.

Comrades,
In this fight for a sustainable future, what we need is innovation; something which is not necessarily new, but which makes us look at things from a different angle.

I believe this is one of the major motives of this community which we are a part of. Taking one step together hand in hand towards our goal is the only way we can achieve it.

So I wish you the very best in this endeavour of yours and hope to see you together in the new tomorrow

Team GreenSpace

Hello campus members,

Being a part of India's well-known Entrepreneurship Cell of the most prestigious engineering college in India, I have interacted with many startup enthusiasts, have got to know how they think and what are some qualities that set them apart from the ones who are not able to see their idea through. Reading through your idea, I have realized that your idea has that spark which can help it become a successful venture. Coupled with its aim to help the society achieve its goals sustainably, your idea can be something quite helpful for the same.

But before it's implementation, you need to do a "premortem" check on how it can fail. This would prepare you for any uncalled-for circumstances and help you prepare for them accordingly.

Lastly, I would like you to have a look at our idea, GreenSpace, and share your views about the same.

Regards,
For Team GreenSpace.

Dear Fellow participant,

You have done well thus far. Only few people will venture relentlessly into the things in which their instincts proposes because sometimes the goal appears too crazy to achieve, so they just retreat.

Actually, someone has said that "The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

You may have seen this before but I want to remind you that it's true, only those who are "crazy enough" eventually get results.

Congratulations for been "crazy enough" (seeing beyond normal and following your dreams despite the odds)...

Best wishes,
Seth

Hello,
I invite you kindly to comment my idea Path To Knowledge. I would be glad to hear your advice. I have written this message after I commented almost all ideas and projects and probably yours too. I am deeply sorry if this message bothered you, but everyone on this platform wants to go to the finals with his/her idea and makes all it is possible to get there. Maybe not all the actions are fair. Some participants copy the same meaningless message and paste it to all ideas. I just do marketing. Again, I am sorry if this message disturbed you.
