Haiba Body Butter "Be You Be Natural"
Explain your project in details:
In Tanzania Research shows that the cosmetics and beauty sector rely almost completely on overseas imports as well as cross border trade from Kenya. Whereas almost 70% of all cosmetics and beauty goods sold by street vendors and small beauty stores are of low-quality imitations. Sadly, the craziness for fair beauty in Africa has now reached epidemic proportions. According to the World Health Organization, 77% of Nigerian women use skin lightening products on a regular basis, followed by Togo with 59%, South Africa are at 35% and Mali at 25%, while in Tanzania the rate grows by 30% Annually. This is an escalation on the use of unhealthy skin product that contains harmful chemicals such as hydroquinone and mercury which may increase their rates of infertility, blood cancer such as leukaemia and cancers of the liver, kidney and skin condition known as Ochronosis. From these findings we asked our selves, How might we help youth and women accept their natural skin complexion, improve the health of their skin and use 100% natural skin care products? AfriLioness Company Limited " Challenging the Status Quo" through its flagship brand Haiba Body Butter Be You Be Natural wants to address these problems by manufacturing and selling natural, quality, homemade skin care products at affordable prices, while raising awareness on self-acceptance by promoting the use of products that contains 100% natural and health ingredients. Haiba intends to source its natural ingredients locally to change the perception that imported products are superior, with an opportunity to both build a big manufacturing business and impact lives in our society by empowering farmers, creating jobs and employment opportunities to youth and women.

Sustainability and future plans
Being at a prototype stage, from our humble kitchen we now produce and give our products to close family, friends and relative to use the product. Plan is to got to consumers and find out more on what they think about our product. From the launch of the product we look forward to involve retailers who will sell our products from their respective beauty and cosmetic shops in different areas in Dare es Salaam, we will also use the internet and social media to market and sell our product and. Our long term plan is to build a wholesale distribution network, were as we will secure partnership with well-respected distributors e.g. jumia market hence expand country wise and global. In this regard we will also work with health centers, youth and women organizations for the selling of the product and facilitation campaigns as well as rising awareness on the devastating effect of skin bleaching. To be able to officially launch our product and upscale our business we need enough funds to invest on the project. to purchase big and enough machinery to support our production. Purchase packages for our product and do standard branding for the same. We also need manufacturing lessons and practical training to be able to produce our products with specific, neat, and required measurements for each recipe.

This will definitely reduce the imports costs, increase efficiency, reduce customer complaints, and better enough a booming opportunity to upscale the business opportunity to the next level.
