Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to the air quality within and around buildings and structures, especially as it relates to the health and comfort of building occupants. Understanding and controlling common pollutants indoors can help reduce your risk of indoor health concerns. Most of us spend much of our time indoors. The air that we breathe in our homes, in schools, and in offices can put us at risk for health problems. Some pollutants can be chemicals, gases, and living organisms like mold and pests. Several sources of air pollution are in homes, schools, and offices. Some pollutants cause health problems such as sore eyes, burning in the nose and throat, headaches, or fatigue. Other pollutants cause or worsen allergies, respiratory illnesses (such as asthma), heart disease, cancer, and other serious long-term conditions. Sometimes individual pollutants at high concentrations, such as carbon monoxide, cause death. Understanding and controlling some of the common pollutants found in homes, schools, and offices may help improve your indoor air and reduce your familys risk of health concerns related to indoor air quality (IAQ).

1. Improvement in health of occupants especially old age people, kids and ill persons 2. Enhanced productivity and efficiency of employees 3. Encouraging usage of green products i.e. environment friendly products
Plans for implementation and sustainability
Four steps implementation; 1. Questionnaire for the building under investigation and expected occupants: this is to identify any building specific air quality issue 2. Investigation: based on the above questionnaire, investigate the building for various pollutants asking with probable sources of these pollutants which are considered to be dangerous for health 3. Implementation: suggesting ways and means for improving air quality. It includes usage of greener products, heating and cooling appliances issues, cooking appliances issues etc. 4. Check: re-investigation of the building for pollutants and to check whether these are within speed limits. 5. Report: submission of final report to the client Funding: main expenditure for implementing the above idea is the equipment to measure the pollutants level along with expenditure for office, marketing etc. Funding for all these is expected from finance institution and Angel investors.
