Gagobi (Gadung Mango Bioplastic) as A New Innovation for Eco-Industry
Explain your idea in details:
The main objectives of Gagobi is to create an Eco-Industry System that starting from change the plastics to bioplastics especially for foods. With that kind of view, people will slowly reduce their plastics on daily life. Both on the industry or their daily life, people can make their own bioplastics, because Gagobi is really simple to make. It just containing glycerine, acetic acid, and also the extract of rind of Gadung Mango. The comparison between the mixture of glycerine and acetic acid with corn flour and the rind of Gadung Mango is 2:3. All of material is boiled and after its look viscous, we must print that mixture in a flat place, and dried that under the sun. And after that, we can get the bioplastic which is has sheet-shaped. It also reduce the waste of fruit industry that always throw their fruits rind to the landfill, and make another way to utilize the waste of Gadung Mangos rind. People can use Gagobi to wrap up their things, especially foods such as cookies, candy, etc. Gagobi is safe and biodegradable. It can survive for 14 days in its use.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
The target of this innovation is people in industry system especially food industry such as cookies, candy, etc. And also everyone in this world, so that we can reduce the use of plastics and the waste that contains plastics in this Earth. The impact of this innovation will getting success, its because the easy way to make this Gagobi, safety, and Gagobi is biodegradable. With Gagobi, the peoples perspective about plastics will change so everyone will switch from plastics to bioplastics. And after that, we can reduce the use of plastics. Both on industry or community, they will be more productive especially to save their environment through using Gagobi.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
This innovation needs a bussiness model like collective bussiness model. And after people can make their own Gagobi, they will getting interested to make another innovation with that Gagobi, maybe they will change the main material or another material. The Eco-Industry will cover them up with collective bussiness model to help them distribute their bioplastic and to spread the information about it. With that kind of bussiness model, there will be many people that can get benefits from Gagobi. About financing source, the material that we need to make Gagobi is really simple and easy to find also its price is cheap, so that we can get the financing source from personal funds. Maybe its not uncommon for bussiness owners to finance the bussiness activities with personal money. But Gagobi is profitable, it will earn more than it spends in owner income. Especially if the Gagobi is used to wrap the foods. The price will getting higher. The prediction price of Gagobi is IDR500 or just USD0.04 on every sheets which is 30x30 cm. And for the collaborator, I think for this innovation that is collective bussiness model. Everyone can be a good collaborator to create an Eco-Industry System with Gagobi, especially for all people who has food production such as cookies, candy, etc.
