How Can You See Your Place In The Big Picture? School of Thought
Explain your idea in details:
In the past previous century, the world change rapidly via world wars and technological developments. Due to that, also education and schools curriculums changed in many counties. When wars changed countries borders and governments, schools evaluations systems create new and latent borders on childrens mind. From my point of view, we can claim that for all over the world. When we look at our change, in the global village, studying and working skills, communication, human habits are altering. Further, we dont know any world without our lives. A large number of people has forgotten their own traditions. And human rights or customs are only a part of documentaries. If I talk about my country, in Turkey, governments legally registered all of things about us. How you ever thought that, you can refuse many things in your life for example legally you can refuse your family or you can divorce your spouse however you cannot deny which school you graduated from. I mean that legally your bond with your school more important than relationship with your family. These situations preoccupy me that, schools are ahead of many of our realities. If I visualize the my short life as a whole, this situation preoccupy me that, What can I do for that?. I believe that, we should change measurement evaluation system in schools. According to that we should create a new school for evaluation of development. I want to called Schooling of Thought these new school.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
Everybody knows that, these are very important 21th century. But only a few numbers of students can do that. If we change the evaluation system, these opportunities will be possible for every child in the country. There is a benefit to remind, it doesnt mean everyone should be same. We cannot give same chances. If we say that, it wills tyranny for child. Rights are not one but realty is only ones. We can show that due to the changing measurement evaluation system. Changing measurement system is not only provide students to self-development according to 21th century, but also it is create equity for us. What are possible problems for doing these changing? We have to be realistic. It is really hard to explain new system to center of exam, government, students and teachers. Besides, it is really difficult to convince being objective in measurement to them. What will happen if we can do that? A large number of students and also teachers get those skills: analysis issues clearly/ high communications/ learn creative thinking-critical thinking-conceptual thinking/ problem solving/ comprehension. Further, our education will be give the answer about What is value of humanity?.at the same time we can adapt this project to different business areas.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
We should prepare a new syllabus and new measurement evaluation system based on human rights and nature. We should work with philosophers, intellectuals, educational experts who have conscientious and parents and they should give training to teachers and student. We should decide the lessons books and materials, open-ended questions. In this system, students and teachers dont stick to options, they will learn create solutions and everything should be clear like a water. Lessons and questions which help to analyzing and inferring. New system consists of learner that organizes itself and has no rule. Thus, t should base on students flexibility.at the same time we can adapt this project to different business areas
