MELIORATE THE QUALITY OF ENGINEERS IN INDIA
Explain your idea in details:
Happy to have the opportunity of explaining my idea. Starting with the main objective, my objective is a nation that is completely digitally sound. If we observe carefully, the Indian youth strives for the gadgets that are manufactured abroad. Why not have such a manufacturing quality in the nation itself. We have a good talent pool , all we need is a training in the right direction. If we have coders who can code for electronic gadgets that do the Indian youth's heart good, we are almost there. My idea is that by providing a central platform only for coding purpose, we can synchronize the pace at which the coding is taught in various engineering colleges. Because of a common coding platform, we can take many students from beginner to at least intermediate level of coding so that they can at least enter good IT companies. If we se carefully, students of some colleges are able to code at a very good level, some at an intermediate level, very few at advance level. So all I am trying to do here is to bring all the students under the same coding umbrella, so that we can polish them at the same pace. We will divide them into groups according to their present coding capability and then work upon them accordingly. We will make them run at the same pace. Like this we will be able to know which student needs to be worked upon more. So by investing the same amount of time and energy, we will get better results. As I said before, "IT IS ALL ABOUT CONNECTING THE DOTS"!!!!!
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
When it comes to the implementation of the idea, I personally reckon that it will be a good contribution to the sustainable development. The main cynosure of this idea is less investment. As for now, we are just trying to utilize the currently available manpower and facilities. We are just starting with a small initiative. As far as success is concerned, it will depend on factors like the dedication of students, how they are monitored during the video lecture session, what is the level of expertise of our teacher/s who will train them. But this will definitely save the time and especially the cost that students pay to the local coaching centers for learning coding. They will get this benefit from their college fee itself. They won't have to work and invest extra amount and in the end land up nowhere.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
So our business model starts with finding at the most two coding recherche and that too in C language because it is where most of the questions are asked in the technical round of placement. We will need internet facility to connect to those 3-5 colleges at the same time. We will have a common time say (1:00-4:00 PM) when we shall connect to our recherche teacher to all the students. As far as financing is concerned, we shall charge a nominal fee from each college(which they can pay by discarding this system of copied assignments, that money can be paid to us!!!!) . All we need in the incipience is a laptop with a camera. We will just impart education. Yes we do need to pay a good amount to our recherche teacher. Rest all the computers/laptops/projector screens and all are already there in the college itself. Then their doubts can be taken up by us as well as their own college teachers.
Hello, I am Sakshi. I will complete 25 years of my life on September 27 of this year(2018). I am an engineering graduate (2012-2016) with computer science being my specialization. Currently I am enrolled in an MBA program with Chitkara University,Panjab, India. As far as my motivation is concerned, you can very well make it out from my graduation background. I have observed this scenario in almost all engineering colleges. Even I had to pay money outside for completing my projects because even in the final year, we couldn't write basic programs in C language even. Most of us were eliminated from the technical round during placements. That is when I recognized the root cause of the education system and this idea of having a common coding platform occurred to me. Now I wish that the upcoming engineers should have a good hand at coding because in the end , it is a logical brain and the ability to code that lands you almost everywhere!!! As far as my awards/ recognitions are concerned, I have made the following achievements as of now. 1. Secured first position in “Spell Bee” competition in college. 2. Secured second position in “Autobiography Writing” competition in college. 3. Secured third position in “Just a Minute” Extempore competition in college. 4. Participated in “International essay writing competition” conducted by GOI PEACE. 5. Participated in “State level mathematics exhibition”. 6. Participated in Science fair for two years in college. My education qualification is- 1) MBA(HR) : pursuing( current cgpa-9.02) 2) B.Tech(CSE) : 71.2%(degree with honors) 3) Class Xii : 87.4% 4) Class X : 91.2%
