Explain your idea in details:
The Water Web is a special enegry generating structure designed with special features. The main aim of the project is to provide electricity to businesses and off-grid regions at affordable rates in a efficient and effective way. This project seeks to generate energy at a lower cost. In my country there has been multiple power crises arising out of climate change. This compelled me to come up with the Water Web concept. The Water Web is a hybrid concept of hydro-power and solar power. Its approach is generating power through the kinetic energy of water trigered by gravity. The water is then trapped in a special pond which will be designed to accelarate water flow through special drainages known as veins. The water shall pass through water turbines and proceed to the pump house which will send the water back to the dam. The source of power of this station will come from the Solar panels which will also be contributing to the grid. These panels will be mounted on a special platform i have designed. The panels will hang above the dam thereby blocking heat from reaching the water body, thus causing less evaporation. The Water web also bears in mind issues arising out of floods. Thus, it shall house water filters which shall run through external turbines before been channeled into local streams. The vision is to create an energy company that has a relatively small workforce, cheaper building cost and adaptability of design.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
The Water Web idea has the potential to mitigate energy deficit in which many African nations find themselves including my country. In hope to attain the affordable and reliable energy, the following is how the Water Web will impact the mentioned targets. The Water Web will contribute to energy affordability by offering energy to off-grid households. This will be achieved because of its concept of adaptability which enables it to be built nearly anywhere, regardless whether there is a river or not. This feature allows the Water Web unit to be directly raised in a off-grid area without the need to connect it through transmission. Additionally, competition will ultimately cause prices to dwindle thus making electricity affordable. The success of this quality will be measured by the amount of customers and households connected to the system. Secondly, the Water web system has very little room for inefficiency because it can not be easily affected by what affects the current Hydro-power systems which arises of climate change or the Solar system which is easily affacted by the dictates of weather. Thus, it is true that a system like the Water Web is more likely to be reliable. Therefore, the number of custormer will determine the success of this system.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
The main plan for execution is underway. The 1st step will be conducting a survay and research of the land and selection of the construction site to erect the web. The 2nd step would be engaging achitechture. The 3rd step would be construction of the. Most of my capital will be driven from custorm roam software we have coded and a book am due to publish. This concept's rationale is energy generation of which 20% will be transmitted to local people while 80% of the energy hours will be sold to on-grid partner companies. So, most of the revenue will be generated from the sale of hours to commercial energy companies. This will be used for operation costs. A single platform is anticipated to house 6 turbines. Thus, generating an average of 130KV/h. The vision is to have 2 platfoms in one station as a minimum. It is also important to note that this system requires a small work force. Therefore, i stress that the other factors of production are in place except adequate Capital.
Iam a Zambian youngman aged 26 years and my name is Jonathan Mazyopa Jr. I was born in a family of 6 children of Mr Jonathan Jones Mazyopa and Penelope Nkunika. I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Iam a fourth born. In my growing up, i was fascinated with certian subjects like Art, Science, History and Politics. Although iam not very certain of what inspired my interest in science, all i know is my elder brother is a self taught engineer who designed a candy frost machine and my other elder brother is a self taught electrician. Seeing their efforts, i ended up having personal studies in this descipline though ironically i didn't enroll in an engineering school at college due to financial restraints. Nevertheless, my interest paid off when i designed a 1m length steel cased rocket. Powered by a grain of a simple fuel and a light oxidizer. However, what made me seek an answer for reliable and affordable energy was that my parents could not afford to install such a utility in our house because their unemployed and are simple farmers. Thus, my determination to realise this vision is what keeps me going and trying new ideas including the Water Web.
