In developing countries, mainly in Africa; access to quality health care is a challenge because of scarce health care facilities and qualified medical professionals, which most of the highly experienced and qualified ones are very trivial in number when compared to the demand and are mainly concentrated in urban areas. And this is leading to poor health care quality mainly to the rural community forcing to visit urban based health facilities for relatively better service. Dr. V is a mobile app intended to solve this gap between quality health care service demand and supply by creating a means to utilize and share the experience and knowledge of such limited number of highly skilled and qualified medical professionals through the use of technology maintaining every ones convenience. The app is intended to provide a high-end and standardized health care service by creating a platform up on which highly qualified and experienced medical professionals and health sector experts provide medical service directly to end users or through other reachable yet less qualified health workers through a virtual infrastructure towards the achievement of a quality and knowledge based health care service for all, mainly to the under privileged and served rural community. The app will receive symptoms, orders laboratory & accept results, considers location, travel history and trends, and medical history of patients to advice: possible health issue, diagnosis with textual and graphic (pictorial and video) guides, medical prescription, advanced medication referrals based on observed health case and severity using registered medical service provider details. Health workers will also have a mechanism to request for advice on different health cases and scenarios. Highly qualified medical professionals will be assigned to administer the platform and encode & update the health information database; provide medical updates, alerts and advises through the application.

Plans for implementation and sustainability
Dr. V is a virtual medical service provision business, which utilizes a mobile application platform to provide high end health care and awareness/information service to the general public and provide assistance to health care workers mainly operating in rural and under privileged areas on subscription fee basis. The application development is at inception stage and prototype development is planned to continue self-sponsored. The actual realization of the business requires a robust infrastructure and platform and involvement of highly qualified medical professionals operating under different medical service sectors and key health sector player organizations and associations . The startup finance source for the actual platform implementation will be self-contribution, health sector governmental and non-governmental organizations sponsorship, floating company shares, assigning equivalent shares based on expertise & roles, and income generated thorough agile implementation. The business is planned to have subscription packages for intended subscriber categories including end users, health professionals and advertisers and will generate minimal yet persisting revenue through subscription fee for business continuity and service advancement.

I have been working as a technical expert, designer and manager for the past 10 years. I am a well experienced software engineer, project manager and an entrepreneur aspiring to challenge limits and come up with innovative ideas mainly in the ICT industry.
