BUSINESS IDEA FOR MAKING RECYCLED BAGS

Recyclable bags team, will engage in production and selling of customized cotton and cloth bags carry. The basic function will include giving of clients the type of bag they want it may be in shape, size, colors and branding prints. We will be using cotton and used cloth as raw materials in making of carrying bags, the out layer will be of a good quality and presentable thus delivering our clients with durable yet presentable bags. Our innovative idea will provide solution to the problem of pollution due to disposable and recyclable carrying bags. Our bags will be: Natural fiber Biodegradable Sustainable Stylish Reusable The aims of the recyclable bags project are to substantially reduce the plastic waste problem in Tanzania and in particular address the problem of drinking water and land that litter the environment. The objectives of the recyclable bags project are: 1. To clean the streets of Tanzania by limiting the uses of plastics bags which mostly pollute our environments. them into reusable shopping bags called Trashy Smart Bags. 2. Create jobs in Tanzania by training teams of local people to collect cotton and used cloth and use them to manufacture carrying bags.

Our business idea targets to sell recyclable carrying bags to the commercial users: Retails outlets Super markets and general stores Pharmacies People who shop from retailers Our business idea will success due to the following strengths of our products. Eco friendly reusable and can easily disposed off or recyclable Customized bags as per requirement of clients Better and tough bags compared to the plastic bags. Our business idea has the following impact socially, environmentally. 1. The business idea has direct impact on employment opportunities creation in every manufacturing phase. i.e Cotton and cloth collection and machine operations. 2. Minimizes land and water bodies pollution due to replacement of plastic bags.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
Recycled bags are environmentally friendly products and can be a perfect replacement for polythene and plastic bags. The business profile is targeted towards production of 32,760bags in the first year of operation with an initial investment fixed capital totaling to 6,100US$ & estimated revenue of 144,144US$ and operating costs of 101,431 US$. Production Capacity, Technology & Process The production process involves cutting different sizes of cotton cloth pieces and then stretching them on a stretching machine. The stretched pieces are tailored into different sizes and designs using a sewing machine. Where it is necessary to include company labels and designs, they can be sewn or just printed to add value to the products.
My name is Irene Missanga Muja was born on 14/12/91 and raised in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Then,I have graduated in International Business in Nilai University, Malaysia and currently pursuing my postgraduate in Project Management and training of Management consultant at Tanzania Institute of Project Management. Next, I decided to use my passion of art and craft to make recycled products into various Eco-products as a self employed social entrepreneur. Furthermore, I opened a small business of creating product from wastes to useful items but I really wished to get it further so I can create more jobs and empowering youth in the community. Lastly, I was not only awarded as a 2nd Position of Best African Brand in Africa Creativity Exhibition Award in Nigeria, 2018 but also got recognized by Raising up Friendship TV show as Most inspirational woman in environment category in Tanzania, 2018.
