On-Board Power Generating System is a renewable energy source that can afford an electric vehicle a limitless range, weigh less than the battery, with zero charging time and at a very low cost This solution is fit for all purpose and would be deployed in 2 ways: 1. As a Range-Extender: to continuously recharge battery powered vehicles in order to extend its range. 2. As the ONLY power source of a vehicle: with higher capacity, it will conveniently power a vehicle WITHOUT the use of a battery pack, this would be a suitable EV for regions with electricity generation problems like Nigeria. The main objectives of this idea are to: 1. Improve the Low EV Adoption rate: How EVs are powered is key to their success and growth. Once range anxiety has been eliminated, there will be a massive increment in EV adoption. 2. Eliminate the Impacts of EV on Local Grid: One Battery EV has been estimated to be equal to 4 households in energy consumption (source: fleetcarma), this is a major threat to LOCAL electric utilities as they are not prepared for such high demand of energy that accompanies the technological shift from fuel to electricity. Hence the need for an independent energy source my on-board power generating system can provide. 3. Make EV usable in all Non-BEV sustainable regions: Nigeria and some other part of Africa lacks electricity generation infrastructures that can sustain BEVs, hence my On-board power generating system will make EV available and usable in such regions. My on-board power generating system is an arrangement of electric motor, power alternator and flywheel apparatus assembled in an housing with low friction, It is liquid cooled for long period of operation and electricity generated is used to power different components on-board a vehicle.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
Based on the market survey we conducted, and with over 500 responses we found that 73% of people interested in buying an electric vehicle locally are between ages 30 and 49 years old and 71% have an household income of above N3,000,000 ($10,000) and this is our major targeted individuals. 85% indicated they currently own a vehicle, while 16% are planning to own one at least. Whats more, 93% of the people indicated they have a plan to buy an electric vehicle for its benefits and to rescue themselves from incessant fuel crises in the country, 69% indicated they would make a purchase between 0 month to 1year of its availability in the local market. To attain financial success with this idea, a performance measurement & management is very important in monitoring and ensuring that the organization meets all of its prescribed goals. We will impose various techniques and measurement to keep track of the companys performance towards achieving a financial success, which is primarily based on productivity. We will measure the manufacturing performance based on the number of products produced a day; for the customer service division, we will consider the number of inquiries resolved, emails answered, and complaints handled. In addition, we will establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to monitor the production, inventory, and generally assess the success of achieving the goals within the predetermined duration. In fact, for all our prospective managers, applying and monitoring KPIs for a particular area are not just huge advantages but also part of job responsibilities. We will also communicate these performances to our stakeholders.

I will create value for the company while delivering the on-board power generating system to my customers packaged in a full electric car and as a range extender as planned on our business model canvass. 1. Value Propositions: the values i propose to offer all my customers with this system are, Performance (Quick Speed, Limitless,Distance Range, Requires No Charging), Connectivity (Updated maintenance centers, infotainment), Convenience (Zero charging time, Remote Diagnosis & Surveillance, Auto-Pilot), Accessibility (Full Electric). 2. Customer Segment: These are the targeted customers for the systems. Young(er) between the ages 30 and 49, Middle and high income earners, Affected with incessant fuel crises, Environmental Friendly. 3. Channels: The following are the distribution medium I intend to use. Online Retail, Dealers, Owned retail outlets. 4. Customer Relationships: The following is how I intend to get the customers, keep and grow them. Personal Assistance, Automated Services (system monitoring, surveillance), Schedule a drive test, Online Software Updates, EV Community. 5. Revenue Streams: The following highlights how I intend to make profit. Car sales, Power Source sales, Range Extender sales, Service and Maintenance, All round surveillance. 6. Resources: The following are the most important asset required to make the business model work. Finance (equity investment and grants), Patents, Digital Platform, Talented and dedicated people. 7. Partners and Collaborators: These are the key partners, collaborators and suppliers needed to make the business model work. I was borne on the 25th October 1984 (33years) into the family of 7. Growing up was tough, having both parents as civil servant was tougher due to non payment of salaries for months, It was always a hard moment financially. In my curiosity I wanted to know other means of livelihood apart from salaries, & i discovered being an entrepreneur is another means & that kick started my entrepreneurship journey in year 2003. I also discovered solving problems gives me satisfaction & an indescribable joy, so I dedicated my entrepreneurship career to adding values to people's lives by finding solutions to their problems at a cost. While in school studying mechanical engineering, I learnt computer programming and web development and I took many projects as contracts. I graduated with a major in Automotive Technology for my HND program & determined to impact the automobile industry, this lead to my current R&D of an alternative power source that eliminates many limitations of a conventional battery powered electric vehicle which started some 2years ago and have applied for the patent rights. I am currently running a Master's degree in Industrial Production at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, after bagging a Masters in Computer Systems at the University of Ibadan Nigeria. I served as the President of National Associations of Mechanical Engineering students winning 3 awards in a year. I also served as the Director of protocol and the Director of Community Development of Junior Chambers International. I successfully directed the initiation of the Youth Empowerment scheme of Oyo state where 20000 unemployed youths were engaged. I am presently a lecturer in Mechatronics Engineering department of The Polytechnic Ibadan, Nigeria . I teach courses related to computer and automotive technologies all embedded in a new field called auto-tronics.
