Prescription Verification System
Explain your idea in details:
The main objective of my idea is to solve the problem of drug abuse especially in Nigeria as recently the government placed a ban on codeine which is the most abused drug due to its highness possibilities. Using Programming and Technology, I plan to create a database system that would enable private pharmacies work alongside Hospitals in reducing the sales of these drugs to individuals without prescriptions. This would require the full co-operation of healthcare organizations, government and pharmacies.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
In order to promote good health and proper consumption of drugs, while making the world a better and safer environment by controlling the abuse of drugs (intoxifying drugs). Alongside, informing the next generation while reforming the other. Saving the next generation is my measure of success.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
I do not have any source of finance but I plan on collaborating with SDG'S, World Health Organization or Other Health Bodies in making this idea a reality against all odds. Also, the government would definitely play a major role in birthing this conception.
I am a 23 years old computer science graduate from Federal University Lafia, Nasarawa state Nigeria. My motivation is the state of Nigerian youths with the recent report of CNN nigeria on how the abuse of drugs by the youths have worsened to the extent where some of them are kept in a mad house like Kano State presently.
