Project Ubuntu - Providing opportunities by facilitating partnerships

Summary of your idea
Our idea is to create a business which acts as a Corporate Social Responsibility Agent for companies and an opportunities provider for voluntary welfare organisations. Project Ubuntu aims to empower disadvantaged communities to sustain a living through innovative projects, such as through the arts. We work with the disabled, youths-at-risk, elderly, mentally-ill, single-parents, prisoners and the rest of the "disadvantaged" community through the arts, where these beneficiaries could showcase their talents and design on the products for these corporates. We hold concerts to showcase disabled performers in front of cafe-owners and events management companies for them to gain long-term employment opportunities. Project Ubuntu provides ideas for corporates and beneficiaries to collaborate, to create new opportunities for the "disadvantaged" community. Project Ubuntu would help corporates market their products and carry out their CSR campaigns, especially so for smaller organisations which lack marketing talents and also enable welfare organisations to gain more donations through such partnerships. "Disadvantaged" communities get long-term employment opportunities and everybody wins.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
The main targets would be smaller companies who lack CSR programs and welfare organisations with beneficiaries who lack long-term employment opportunities or those with a lack of financial resources. Smaller businesses have few employees and may tend to neglect CSR marketing efforts while welfare organisations may not have the time nor manpower to source, create and run CSR programs with companies. As a result, there is a lack of CSR marketing efforts and the "disadvantaged" community still does not get employment opportunities while pursuing their passion. Project Ubuntu would be successful when we are able to foster long-term partnerships between corporates and welfare organisations and when the "disadvantaged" community are able to get long-term employment opportunities while pursuing their passions in life.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
The solution involves starting up a company chaired by both marketing, CSR and experts in welfare organisations. The company would first partner various welfare organisations, focusing on arts and crafts initially, such as arts for the disabled, art-in-prison, arts for single mums etc. This is so as it is simple to apply arts and crafts to most consumer products such as bags, shoes and shirts. Project Ubuntu would then approach various corporates and suggest various ideas (which could be crowdfunded through a website) to approach them for interest. Project Ubuntu would then help out in the operations and publicity of the collaborative project and would take a small part (e.g: 10%) of the funds raised / income generated by the project to ensure its sustainability. The remaining income or funds raised would go to the "disadvantaged" community or to the welfare organisation.
I am 19 years old, currently serving National Service. I am passionate in providing more opportunities to the needy for them to gain long-term employment and hope to allow others to pursue their passion while making it their full-time career. This is so especially in the arts, where people often are not able to sustain a living while pursuing their passion and due to their various circumstances or background, they are discriminated against and become part of the "disadvantaged" community.
