Published on July 2, 2014 um 16:12

Summary of your idea

Electronic waste describes discarded electrical or electronic devices. There is a lack of consensus as to whether the term should apply to resale, reuse, and refurbishing industries, or only to a product that cannot be used for its intended purpose. main objectives: .to manage electronic waste within the country .youth empowerment .social entrepreneurship innovative approach: firstly we will take 5 youth as volunteer who will collect e-waste from each house and offices in the country then we will take 5 poor youth from different under developed region of the country and give them training on repairing electronic devices those youth will after training will try to repair those wastes and then we will sell those item in our recycled electronic store cheaply in the market. those wastes which cannot be repaired will be disposed in proper place.many of those recycled item will be donated to poor government school and poor people.

Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development

e-waste management will have a great impact on environment. The processes of dismantling and disposing of electronic waste in the third world lead to a number of environmental impacts. Liquid and atmospheric releases end up in bodies of water, groundwater, soil, and air and therefore in land and sea animals both domesticated and wild, in crops eaten by both animals and human, and in drinking water.many youth will get job opportunity and the people will low class living standard will be highly effected as they can buy electronics item in cheaper rate from our stores. the poor government schools will get many computers laptops from us as donation which will help children studying there.

Plans for implementation and sustainability

US embassy Nepal is willing us to help with 6000$ for our start up we will be in collaboration with them. UNESCO Nepal will also be our partner. institute of engineering pulchowk campus will be our mentor for this entire project.the running cost will be managed from the products we sell to market. we will be in collaboration with environment ministry of Nepal.
