sharegarden - let it grow!

Summary of your idea
sharegarden is an online platform, where you can share the fruits of your garden. Plant vegetables in your garden, grow herbs on your window sill and share your harvest with others in your area. Our main goal is to connect people from around the world, who either want to share or find vegetables and fruits in their vicinity.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
We want you to think about where your food comes from and how you can lead a healthier, happier life. Sharing your harvest with the people around you will re-built your local community and educate your children to be more self-sufficient. Although the target group is more local, we expect our idea to spread worldwide.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
sharegarden should be a free-of-charge platform for everyone who wishes to share their harvest. However, to keep our platform running and pay our developers, we rely on financial support both of sponsors and crowd-funding. We also want to include local farmers in our online community, who will be able to offer their harvest on our platform for a small fee.
We are three people living in a metropole, Berlin (Germany). We were disappointed by the low quality groceries we bought in supermarkets and became exceedingly interested in growing our own vegetables. In the last years we discovered a real need to get back to the roots (literally) and find a way to be self-sufficient. We believe, that even in big cities like Berlin you can find a way to urban gardening and providing your family or friends with self-grown food.
