Summary of your idea

As we all know food shortage is a major problem facing mankind and if not checked can spell catastrophe for the world as we know it. with food cost increasing due to certain weather changes that make certain regions unfavorable for agriculture, most developing countries across Africa and Asia now have difficulties coping with malnutrition and extreme hunger. my vision is to establish a company to help people start up and manage their own farm in order to help them produce their own food. In a society where everyone is encouraged to go green and plant trees, i also believe people should also be encouraged to have their own farm no matter how small. My establishment will help every house hold have their own farm this could range from being as small as a garden or roof top farm to being as large as a football pitch depending on the individuals taste. Furthermore it is also a known fact that most developing countries have troubling levels of unemployment and most citizens remain unemployed. Bearing this in mind i want to establish most of the farms in developing countries so as to provide employment. the farms will create employment for people of different levels in the society such as the uneducated [ie unskilled workers] to the highly educated individuals [farm managers, microbiologists and soil scientists]. In addition to this individuals having their own farm will also help to empower youth as it may serve as a business investments and if properly managed can lead to huge profits.

Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development

the initiative will lead to an exponential increase the the worlds food production. Furthermore this will also lead to the creation of a large amount of jobs for both those who are privileged to be educated to those who are unfortunately not. in addition I believe its a breath of fresh air in our battle against co2 emissions as plants help remove co2 from the environment.this farms can also be used in the production of ethanol which can be fuse as an alternative fuel.

Plans for implementation and sustainability

I choose to employ a business model in which an individual pays a certain amount of money for a package. this package might range from owning the land and every produce that comes from it to owning just a part of the produce. you get paid a percentage of the money gotten from your farm on an annual can either increase your profit by changing your package or selling your farm to another person once your done. This makes owning a farm very easy and also serves as some sort of investment. I hope to start up as just a small farm but as people keep buying into it i hope to grow even bigger. furthermore i hope to pitch my idea to already existing farms so as to convince them to merge under 1 common name and employ my business model. This leads to faster growth and is very cost efficient. in addition to this as land be comes a scarce resource hydroponics can be used (i.e growing plants in water in which mineral nutrients have dissolved inside). studies show that this increases the crop yield and land isn't even needed. i wish to employ this method as the business grows.

i am a young budding entrepreneur from Nigeria currently doing my A levels in the UK. I am 16 years of age with a dream to make life for my generation a lot easier. I am driven by a popular quote by sir Issac newton which says those who believe they can make it and those who believe they cant are both usually right. I apply his mentality in carrying out everything i do in life and its one i hope to carry with me no my entrepreneurial journey. i am also greatly influenced by the late nelson Mandela who in-spite being in jail had a dream and stuck to it no matter how grave the oppression he faced
