Summary of your idea

To help people find their local sporting facilities to participate in sports. It is a company which aims to primarily be a platform for people, league owners and pitch owners to come together to provide each other business. Therefore, PitchStarter will be a one-stop shop for the community (Both working professionals and students), primarily in Germany, UK and Switzerland to access information on where to play. PitchStarter will also organise sporting events and sell sporting goods to communities in collaboration with equipment suppliers. There is a possibility of selling healthy food and drinks on site.

Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development

To encourage local communities in these three countries to be more active and healthier as majority of people would be active if they had an easier chance. It will also promote peace within communities. This idea shall also help the sporting teams in each countries to perform better as more people are actively participating in sports for scouts to watch etc.

Plans for implementation and sustainability

PitchStarter will make use of the internet via the website : www.pitchstarter.co.uk Customers will use the website to: 1) Choose a sport they would like to play; 2) Enter the location in which they would like to participate in sporting activities; 3) Find a pitch using the website and choose whichever venue the customer prefers (Each pitch will also have a price next to it, therefore giving customers the opportunity to compare prices). 4) After the customer selects their venue, they can contact the pitch owner via contact details provided by the website. For each booking made via the website, we take a cut of the sale. I will also contact sporting vendors about also selling their equipment via www.pitchstarter.co.uk (and for every equipment sold, we will take a percentage of the sale).
