Travel Classroom Province

Summary of your idea

When street children from the provinces cannot go to school to learn and train themselves to the future livelihood that one desires, Travel Classroom promotes teachers to go to the children and educate them. Not the street children going to school, pay tuition fees they couldn't pay, and learn at the school.

Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development

It focuses on the street children of the rural provinces that don't have the money to get the standard education system. This hopes to alleviate about 40% of provincial street children by teaching them basic education and train them on various forms of livelihood.

Plans for implementation and sustainability

Getting inspiration from 2009 filipino hero Efren Penaflorida's heroic project, "Pushcart Classroom", one can start buying basic school supplies like pens, paper, tables, chairs, and books for 2500 Pesos (US$57.00-US$60.00). If the professor has unused books and other needed school materials, he can use them as well for this project to reduce money cost. Opening book donations to get books also work.

Your profile

As a Filipino FEU English Major student with passion for video gaming and learning various cultural beliefs, I hope to at least pass an idea on what the Philippine Organizations could do to bring some of the street people out of poverty and give them a purpose in life to participate in the country's growth politically, economically, culturally, socially, and proper livelihood.
