Explain your project in details:
The unemployment refers to the share of the labor force ages 15-24 without work but available for and seeking employment. The unemployment rate in Rwanda was 28.6% female and 14% males youth who are not employed because of lack of jobs in 2012. There is demand for skilled labor. According to the EICV3, a large share of the youth population in Rwanda have either never been to school or have not completed primary school (62%); 32% have completed primary school, whereas 5% have completed post-primary, vocational, secondary, or higher education (NISR, 2012 ). The youth in Rwanda holds great potential as driver for economic growth. Youth unemployment/underemployment has increasingly come to be recognised as a serious socio-economic challenge (e.g. Ortiz and Cummings, 2012; ILO, 2012). According to the EICV3, the employment and economic activity rates for youth in Rwanda are lower than for the general working-age population (aged 16 and above), though this is mainly due to enrolment in education As our H.E Paul Kagame said We must encourage local communities to be more actively involved in expanding access to education #Kagame. Sustainability and future plans
All of our products are handmade from natural materials. Groups of artisans take days to collect the natural raw materials, prepare them, and then craft them into items of lasting beauty. And this is in addition to the months and years of practice that the artisans have invested to perfect their trade. The result is that each product is unique with a little bit of the artists character and personality woven in. Our mission is to create a vibrant, self-sustaining community of established visual artists in Rwanda, and to create new avenues for Rwandans to use the arts and handcrafts as a means of creating Job and generating sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their children.
