Pragmatic Economic Forum (PEF)
Explain your project in details:
Pragmatic Economic Forum (PEF Nigeria), is a research firm inspired by the Centre for Social Awareness, Advocacy and Ethics (An NGO devoted to making Africa a better place) to make better the Nigerian economy and the economies of African nations. These, the forum achieves by carrying out research proposals, offering consultancy services and making the public smarter and more knowledgeable by showing in clear terms, the implications of policy changes in Africa. In June 2018, we developed a Corruption Index that measures corruption using the Basic Regression Model. We have also written to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to expedite implementation of the Index. Our aim is to either tighten or reduce corruption in Africa. We also educate the public by selling our electronic magazine for N200. The magazine reflects students' articles, break-down of complex economic and business problems, key economic indicators (inflation and interest rates, crude oil prices, etc), economic reports and predictions on market activities. At PEF Nigeria, we believe that we can build a better economy by inspiring productive economic policies that makes growth and development imminent.
Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development
1. Successfully developed an index for measuring corruption. 2. Graphically illustrated the recuperating power of disinflation on recessed economies. 3. Sustainability and future plans
We are going to commercialize the Error Corruption Index that was developed. We will do this by applying the index at different firms to ascertain staff honesty. After the exercise, we submit a confidentiality report to the CEO and get paid. The CEOs are most likely to accept our services if they do not want their companies to be ruined by corrupt workers. Funds will also be generated from the sales of our electronic bulletins.
