AgroLite Inc. provides extension services to local farmers that help to increase their productions and grow their economy. It also sells agricultural products like agro-chemicals, improved varieties of crops and other technical services. We have a agencies in places where our clients are while providing those services. Our mission is to introduce modern agriculture that will maximize productions and economic growth.
Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development
One of the major impacts Agrolite is making is growing the economy of the locals. We also have a climate change or environmental aspect of work which is to protect our world. In order for our work to be sustainable, we're providing special training for our clients.
Sustainability and future plans
At Agrolite, we are dedicated to the production and selling of young plants that are fully grown and ready for transplanting. We do have modern varieties of crops such as oil palm and cocoa Mercedes, Amazon, etc. We also make and sell organic compost while providing consultancy to farmers. The prices of our products varies. For instance, We sell a fully grown cocoa seedling that is ready for transplanting for $1 each while our oil palm cost $4.50. A wheel barrow of organic compost costs $8. As for consultancy, that which we provide mostly to larger farmers, we charge according to the services we render. Our products are in high demand as they make works shorter and easier for tree crop farmers. Vegetable farmers also make a great use of our compost. Our extension services; most of which we provide for free is also highly in demand. Up to 800 farmers in Lofa county are now on our customer service listing.As of now, over 60% have already put in for our current cocoa and oil palm that seedlings that are being grown. Our work reduces the time spent on nursery preparation by farmers and sometimes prevent losses that were likely to occur as a result of lack of technical know-how.

Kangoma Turay has over five years of experience in business and entrepreneurship. Currently, he is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AgroLite Company Inc that focuses on offering agricultural extension services to local farmers in Lofa County, Liberia. Kangoma holds a diploma in General Agriculture and several other certificates in Business and Entrepreneurship.Kangoma is motivated by the strength of Africas youthful population, upon which the future of the continent lies. He believes that the young people of Africa are capable of transforming the economy of the continent through agriculture when empowered. He is a 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow who returned to Africa to transform lives.
