Hope for the elderly and the less privileged on the streets of Nigeria
Explain your project in details:
Actually, the project is an idea that I garnered while in church.unlike most developed countries,Nigeria doesn't really have much homes for the elderly and even some of the orphanage homes are underfunded.I have been seeking for a way to see how I can contribute my own quota in helping out the elderly and less privileged on the streets but it all boils down to being financially stable which I look forward at becoming soon.my main objective is to ensure that the aged people that aren't getting adequate care are taken care of by bringing them under one roof where they get to enjoy their old age and also would love to see many hopeless kids on the streets of Nigeria acquiring education instead of hawking on the streets thereby increasing the risk of child abuse. Like I said earlier,it's still a work in progress and I will need all the support I can get and of course partners to make It a dream come true and equally a landmark achievement.
Impact of your enterprise on sustainable development
Talking about the impact of my idea to sustainable development,it will of course increase average life span of a Nigerian and especially the elderly that are being taken care of.you might be wondering how does it affect the average life span of a Nigerian? The average Nigerian that is so busy to cater for his/her aged parents would be at peace knowing that his/her aged parent is being looked after with other elderly people under one roof and whenever he/she visits and meet the aged parents in good shape,he is happier and relieved. Also, looking at educating the less privileged on the streets of Nigeria, the impacts are innumerable. The crime rates will drop and also thuggery wih most societal vices can be eschewed owing to the fact that the mind has been educated and sensitized. The educated mind/individua will seek to also enlighten people in his shoes and try to be innovative to make our society a better place.
Sustainability and future plans
I wouldn't say it's a business model. It's just a yearning to make my country Nigeria great and to ensuring that people of "lower social status" are given opportunity to live their life to the fullest and also to provide a level playing ground for the society. The reason why I chose this platform is to reach out to people/organisation that are willing to help bring this idea to fruition. As for the future, I intend to see people from the streets that were given such opportunity give back to the country or society so as to make Nigeria a better place.Thank you
