Explain your idea in details:

Since long in India, one thing never changed a lot i.e. railways. We found many cases of corruption and this lead to a huge loss of economy. In this current work process of checking tickets, many conflicts took place between ticket collector and passengers. They also face difficulties in complaining against TCs. They don't get the right platform to put their views. In concern with this, we are going to digitalize the work process of checking tickets. Basically, we will provide a unique id number (other than PNR no) to tickets. This ID will help Ticket collector(TC) to reach an online portal. This portal is for issuing fines from passengers. On-duty TC will go through the portal and check the legality of the ticket. If a passenger is not having a valid ticket, TCs will avail online fine after providing necessary details of their journey. This will record the amount collected by the TC. The ticket collector will be also encoded with unique identity no. They will stamp the tickets with their unique identity no. At the exit, there will be computerized_system to verify the legality of work by TC&passengers. For a start, firstly it should be started from big stations like Howrah, Kharagpur, Pune etc. Then it should be spread over the country.

Plans for implementation and sustainability

It needs a development team for making that online issuing portal. It has little investment in setting up the computerized system at the exit of the station. This process will reduce corruption and it will give good earnings to railways. Fines issued from passengers will be recorded through an online portal. A passenger will get the platform to present their opinion in an efficient and easy way. It will be a great step towards the development of railways and the development of people.

This is the great step towards the digitalization of the railway as it will stop all human favoritism and bogus traveling, and save the railway from huge money loss. Kudos!

There is a massive railway network in India and I believe it is a very large aspect of the country's economy. Reading through your idea, I understand that you want to mitigate losses due to corruption. However, my question has to do with who will monitor the online portal to ensure compliance and due process because such platforms can still be manipulated?
