Edufix is taking the lead to bridge the ICT gap and building individuals who can stand out and fit into the modern day work force by building our students with global 21st century skills (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, information literacy, media literacy, technology literacy etc.), that is needed in the fast growing world, and make our students possess the necessary skills to fit into the present work environment through our STEM courses, and educational programs in secondary schools across the nation. Education is more than reading, writing, and arithmetic, it is the most investment anyone can make. It is no secret that a good education has the power to change a life, thus leading to the birth of Edufix. Teachers are an extremely important facet of any society for their role in building the lives of children who in turn becomes the future of any generation and nation, thus leading to our teachers training services which gives our teachers the ability to learn, unlearn, and relearn, thus making our teachers to be exceptional and meet up with the global changing world of teaching and its methodology. At Edufix we are bridging the illiteracy gap and building individuals with set skills for the 21st century work environment.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
The educational system of any nation holds the developmental key to that nation, thus investing in this untapped resources its certainly a meaningful stride towards generating wealth and reducing unemployment. Quality educational services and system would be the new gold of Africa in this century. In the 90's Illiterates are those who cant read and write, but in the 21st century illiterates are individuals who cant learn, unlearn and relearn. EDUFIX MILESTONE: Edufix Five years plan (millstone target); To spread across some major cities in the South, East, North and Western part of Nigeria, (Port Harcourt, Enugu, Lagos, and Abuja). To set up our STEM/ Robotic hubs in Lagos, Warri, Port-Harcourt, and Abuja. To service over 500 owned private secondary and primary schools in Nigeria, with our 21st century teachers training programs thus training over 30,000 teachers and setting up over 100 STEM laboratory in different schools across Nigeria. To partner with State educational boards and government agencies to provide our services in Public schools at an affordable amount. To have an annual income of not less than 50million Naira. The success of our organization would be evaluated by a feedback mechanism from all those who have passed through our trainings and classes stating clearly the impacts they are doing in their host communities and career path for instance our students would work in group in building sustainable projects that would help solve social problems with the use of technology in their immediate environment and the world at large , there by making the human race to be innovative and more productive.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
Edufix has a marketing team in charge of sourcing for contracts by going rounds schools in our communities to inform them of our services and pitch them to give us a try.Edufix shall initiate free STEM collaboration courses for interested secondary schools with schools abroad at no cost, while they subscribe into our other business channels i.e. our teachers training programs, sales of our STEM kits, and setting up of STEM laboratory and curriculum development in schools. Edufix will also make use of the social media platforms to network and introduces our services to potential clients. This medium has helped us in rising out to clients from other regions and parts of Nigeria. So face I have maximised this medium in improving the sales of my STEM kits. At Edufix we would be collaborating with top collaboration organisations to help us build relevant skills in our students, these organisations includes; WAAW Foundation (Working to advance African Women in STEM) Nigeria, Level up village, United state, and Empatico.com.ng e.t.c. Our business model would be structured based on the following; Creating Customer Value: At Edufix, we make sure we are satisfying the existing needs of our clients by making sure we are delivering an exceptional service and also creating and satisfying new and unique needs.Marketing: we not only market our service, but also our brand, Edufix is an exceptional brand that is unique, and services the 21st century needs of our educational system which is different from the norm. We also utilise the value of our solution which is timely in the present world by providing digital footprint in our educational system as a marketing tool.Sales: At Edufix we utilise both the online and offline platforms in generating a turnover on our sales and services.
Mr Kemasuode Ebiasuode Bright has over 6 years experience in the educational filed. Currently he is a Fellow at Teach for Nigeria, where he focuses on building the academic and non-academic outcomes of pupils in Nigerians Underserved schools in low income communities. He is currently building his leadership skills to drive long-term systemic changes in the educational sector in Nigeria. He is leading the movement towards education equity and excellence in Saint Marys Roman Catholic Mission School, Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Government Area, Ogun state, Nigeria. Where two of his pupils just won a scholarship for their primary education based on academic and moral achievements from SHIMA TY Foundation. He is a 21st century problem solver, a teens coach, an educator and a creative thinker. He is a graduate of Madonna University, he holds a bachelors of Science in Human Physiology. He is passionate about working with a team of individuals to bring about social change and transforming the lives of those around him positively. He also volunteer for The Arrows Leadership Foundation, where he trains over 700 teenagers on building leadership capacity, and STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Arts and Mathematics) activities. He is Pioneering Global STEAM enrichment courses that promotes design, thinking and one to one collaboration. He is the founder of Edufix, an Educational company that is involved in setting up STEM laboratory and curriculum, sales of STEM kits for schools across the south-east and south-west regions of Nigeria. He is leading the movement towards education equity and excellence, and equipping the next generation leaders through his educational services at Edufix, practically fulfilling goals number one, two, four, eight, and nine of the.
