Air Cargo Terminal - Exportation
Explain your idea in details:
Last year over 272 companies shutdown and 4 years ago 11 million people became jobless due to economy crisis. Farmers in agricultural sector were complaining of cheap price and surplus of agricultural products mostly across Nigeria market. Therefore, diversify into the sector pay less with challenges of infrastructure in air-cargo across the entire international Airport except Murtala-Muhammed-International-Airport-(MMIA), it is affecting exportation business. Farm products: Cocoa Bean, Plantain, Carrot, Onion, etc. Ever since Nigeria experience recession in year 2016 the federal government of Nigeria has started investing more on agriculture, empowering farmers. Youths are now more interested in agricultural occupation but all their effort seems meaningless because during harvest most of the farm products are sold at a lower price on market, due to this fact, most farmers are running the business at a loss. This has made many farmers to lose interest in the farming occupation. Ironically, farmers are known to be poor in Nigeria by their ways of living. Most are unable to send their children to school and cater for their well being. Government helping matter by frequently increase in tuition fees in Tertiary, Secondary and Primary school education and it has indirectly promote the number of private schools across the country. Going in this direction, those that are not born with silver spoon are been deprived of getting a sound education. Nigerian tertiary education institutions produce about 500,000 graduates yearly with little hope of job employment after graduation. Moreover, I have read different comments of Nigerians and Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) encouraging government to look toward the challenges of infrastructure in air-cargo terminal, with the view of improving the economy but no attention has been given to this. Local and foreign exporters are also finding it difficult for much easier and quick exportation processes.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
If Air-Cargo terminal across the entire geographical zone are adequately equipped, quick and mush easier exportation will take place, and good networking with foreign buyers across the world to know when, where to export different kinds of agricultural products will be achieved. This process will increase the price of farm products and reduce wastage of agricultural products in market, farmers will be encouraged to fully involve in farming also the graduate will be encouraged to engage in the occupation. This is very important step to eliminate poverty and create job opportunities, these will eventually translate to good quality of life and economy enhancement. More-so, Importation and exportation will be much easier and it will encourage more foreigners to take a reasonable risk of involvement in farming business in Nigeria.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
Rehabilitation of Air-cargo terminal in geographical zone in Nigeria. Access to foreign entrepreneurs across the world to know where or when and which countries to export some kind of agricultural products or goods to. To have offices and website as a platform to connect customers (both foreign and local entrepreneurs) for reliable exportation and importation. Modern equipment's to avoid delay of Importation and exportation. I wish the innovation began in Nigeria and at time goes on, expanding across Africa and the world
My name is Timothy Olawale Bogunjoko, born on 16th September 1993 at Kajola-Ojuirin, Ore. Odigbo local government area. Ondo State Nigeria. Exportation business began to fascinating me in year 2015 when foreigners consulted a cocoa store known as "Ayanda Venture" in Kajola Ojurin. For buying of cocoa beans, the store is among one of the largest store in Odigbo local government area of the state. I was brought up in the village and agriculture is the major occupation, the main occupation in Ondo state at large. The state is the leading cocoa producing state in Nigeria. Therefore, my background and poor quality of life of farmers plays significant part in my innovative idea
