We are creating a bridge B2C model between the publishers and students/ readers, we are also introducing a C2C model which will help readers to sale and purchase pre-owned books/ magazines, etc. Our main objectives are:To serve students with a huge discount, as they will be getting books directly from the publishers house.To serve the one who loves reading old books (Biblichor).We are into an E-commerce marketplace activity.It looks like that Shoppers Barrow is an old wine into a new bottle, but its not like that, we are coming up with subscription based E-books facilities, which will help the students/ readers to pay as they read. We are the only one to introduce all genre of books in varieties of languages.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
Its not possible for everyone to visit the publishers directly due to distance and time. So this will help the students/ readers to visit the market in no time and effort, that's the reason our tagline is "Market meets the couch"We are dealing with books/ magazines which is a basic need in today's world. Our targeted sector is schools and colleges with a age group between 12 years to 26 years. Apart from this age sector we will be dealing with all books lovers that of any age. Indian education sector is huge with a population of 1.13 billion India has around 367 universities, 18,000 colleges and 11 million pupils. The private education industry is estimated to be between 20,00025,000 crores. There are about 1,500 management institutes, 3,500 engineering institutes, and 1,200 medical colleges in the country.As its a huge market so we have are planning to launch in all genre with varieties of languages so that we can target the sector and penetrate easily.

I'm Avinaba Bhowmik co-founder of Shoppers Barrow. I'm 32 years of old and I'm coming from a creative background, I was having my own brand Black Art Works were we used to shoot ad films, graphics deigns and 3D animations, anything related to graphics.
