Global Development SPC
Explain your idea in details:
According to the World Poverty Clock, about 630,120,287 people in the world currently live in extreme poverty. It also states that among the estimated 20,498,605 population in Ghana, about 2,831,866 Ghanaians currently live in extreme poverty. Global employment is increasingly becoming based on only education certificate so the poor and needy who cannot afford tuition fees are being rejected and abandoned and are speedily increasing in number. Also, the unemployed middle class are finding it difficult to gain employment hence the consistent rise in the global poverty index. Global Development SPC is a business idea that aims at eradicating global poverty through high public inclusiveness. The objective of this business idea is to consistently research, innovate and manufacture cocoa products while globally employing, training, empowering and mandating the unemployed middle class as well as the poor and needy to handle the manufacturing and retailing duties of the corporation in order to eradicate global poverty. Global Development SPC will introduce three major global poverty eradication employment programs namely; tier 1 employment, tier 2 employment and tier 3 employment. Tier 1 employees are major franchisees who will make income by manufacturing and supplying cocoa products to tier 2 employees. Tier 2 employees will also make income by retailing cocoa products to the general public. Tier 3 employment will be the corporation's major poverty eradication employment program. Tier 3 employees will be given free cocoa products to retail to the general public in order to make their income.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
According to data from ICCO(International Cocoa Organization), world cocoa demand continues to grow around 2-4 percent per year. Hardman Agribusiness estimates that the derived consumer goods sector has a brand value of some US$300 billion, equal to 0.41% of global GDP. A review of the spread of this wealth effect suggests that there is scope for further significant growth in brand value, especially in the big emerging market economics such as Ghana. Ghana is the world's second largest producer of cocoa-the main ingredient for chocolate-and has great potential to add value to its raw cocoa products. The cocoa industry (beyond raw beans) therefore offers opportunities to increase export earnings through increased processing of intermediate and finished. Less than 25% of cocoa beans are processed locally, allowing Ghana to capture only about 5% of the US$28 billion of the global intermediate cocoa processing industry. Given that Ghana's cocoa is regarded to be of the highest quality and trades at a higher price than cocoa from other origins, Global Development SPC will be able to eradicate global poverty by harnessing the power of cocoa through increased investments and innovations. The world needs the existence and service of Global Development SPC because it will include the general public in order to eradicate global poverty. Finally, the success of this business idea will increase the interest of the global society and all working sectors to adopt our business model in eradicating global poverty while making good profits.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
Global Development SPC will be governed by the founder and ten other shareholders who will invest in the corporation financially and managerially. Also, in the beginning stages, Global Development SPC will employ a skilled and educated workforce to begin manufacturing, research and accounting duties in order to generate profits for the corporation. They will be named the Global Employees of the corporation and will supply to major global industries. Again, tier 1 employees( major franchisees) with their initial capital will be trained and mandated to manufacture and supply cocoa products to tier 2 employees in order to make good income. Tier 2 employees will then retail the cocoa products to the general public in order to make good income. Tier 3 employees will be given free cocoa products to retail to the general public for 8 months I order to make good income. After 8 months, they have to progress to the tier 2 employment program in order to make way for the employment of new tier 3 employees. Finally, the corporation will generate revenue from each of the three poverty eradication employment programs.
I am a 21 year old sophomore student at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology offering BSc. Geomatic Engineering. All I want to do with my life is to serve humanity, my country- Ghana, and the entire world. I innovated this business idea called Global Development SPC because I observed and realized how the unemployed as well as the poor and needy have lost every sense of hope in life and are now conditioned to eat on dumpsters and sleep on the streets. This is a sad and heartbreaking reality in our modern societies. If through innovation, many people have become wealthy then by innovation, poverty can be eradicated. I strongly believe in this. Although I am young, I believe that with my highly passionate, confident, benevolent, innovative, good leadership qualities, social entrepreneurial drive and most importantly my humble nature to seek and adhere to advice from mentors, I will be successful at being the Founder of Global Development SPC in eradicating global poverty. I am very thankful for this great platform and it is my sincere hope that my business idea will touch your heart so that you can support me in any way that you can. Thank you very much.
