Kuthula Peace Foundation: Foundation to help children attain education
Explain your idea in details:
I believe they're many young people with brilliant minds but no platform to showcase their intelligence. So much lost potential. This foundation is to help all young people who've got a dream to study or continue their studies but have no financial backing to finally have an opportunity to get educated. It offers opportunities with no discrimination to anyone as long one has the dream and vision because I believe in life we need to help each other grow. The purpose of this foundation is to provide young people with unlimited opportunities through education. The objective is to support young people's independence and sense of responsibility and enable them to cope with life independently. I also believe that through education people can be empowered (youth especially girls) to finally be able to stand up for themselves in a male dominated society. Through this foundation I hope girls will be educated and finally be able to gain a voice against Gender Based Violence.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
It aims to provide equal educational opportunities and eliminate gender and wealth disparities with the aim of achieving universal access to a quality higher education. Seeing as quality education is one of the 17 Global Goals that make up the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Hence this foundation will help build competitive young people in the business industry and all other industry. On sustainable development it will help also to cover other goals such as decent work and economic growth, gender equality, industry innovation and infrastructure and reduced inequalities in Zimbabwe.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
The foundation will be dedicated to helping young people succeed and grow with a combination of skills in entrepreneurship, sporting, technical and political training. As a result, young people are prepared to enter the workforce, create their own opportunities and be agents of change in their communities, societies or countries. The foundation aims at building effective and sustainable developmental initiatives through sporting activities, education and employment, entrepreneurship and social training. Through education and employment the foundation will be preparing young people for the jobs employers are looking to fill with a demand-driven approach. Sporting the foundation will also aim at giving all those under it all opportunities they need to attack the sporting industry and breakthrough to becoming legends in the game so it doesn't only concentrate on class education but the sporting side of education. Through entrepreneurship initiatives young people will be encouraged to venture in self-employment initiatives so as to build, scale and lead small and micro-enterprises. The foundation will work at promoting self-employment as a vital opportunity for youth. Lastly through social training the foundation will nurture young leaders and the institutes that support these change-makers. It will also empower girls to become a part of politics so as to have a voice in policies that may affect woman.
Born 24 September 1997 in Chibi district (Zimbabwe), I was raised by a single mother who made sure I lacked nothing and my goal is to dedicate all my achievements to her. I aim to make something out of all the opportunities I get self motivated in some way and through reading and watching peoples stories who came from nothing to make something that is my goal. I played sports and achieved provincial and national recognition in High School, was involved in many initiatives and clubs where I was even a leader in some like International Climatic Champions (ICC), Conservation Club, Human Rights Club, Literature Club, Rotary Club, I held positions as the Vice President (ICC), board member, Ambassodor (Human Rights Club). I aim to make it in life no matter the odds thrown at me.
