Plans for implementation and sustainability
Hope for X-convicts seeks to help curb crime in the nation through giving x-convicts second chance. But this cannot be achieved by just living it at the conceptual stage. Implementation process needs to be carried out. Firstly, conveying the message to the audience (X-convicts, inmates, both the ones serving jail terms and those awaiting trial) through organizing workshop sections and sensitizing them. Also getting to know their individual problems and enlighten them of their actions how it affects the society. Making sure that the process of change is being discussed with them as per their problem. And making sure that these individuals are monitored closely and given timeline in the changing process. In terms of financing, partnering with other bodies is the most essential process. Fund raising, getting grants from local, state, and federal government, private donations/foundation, international organization and also corporate agencies. In terms of collaborators, Hope for X-convicts has no collaborators since it still in the conceptual stage but by the time its fully implemented and in progress its sure to collaborate with: 1, UNODC:- United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. 2, ACFE:- Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. 3, NDLEA:- National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency. 4, ICPC:- Independent Corrupt Practices Commission. 5, INTERPOL:- International Police. Miss Blessing Idasimeokuma is a young lady, 31 years old, born into the family of late Mr. Jonah Idasimeokuma and Mrs. Agnes Idasimeokuma who is very much alive, on the 22rd day of February 1988. They where able to see me through primary, secondary and tertiary institution. I grew up in a rural area of Port-Harcourt city the capital of Rivers state, Nigeria. As a young growing girl, I didnt let my environment influence me negatively, rather I tried to fight against odds in life to become a better person. Social vises is a common phenomenon in the environment in which I grew up, where gunshots is an everyday thing. I can remember growing up wasnt easy as I lost my (3) three older brothers as a result of environmental influence, peer pressure and poverty. And also most of the young people who didnt die ended up in prison and after serving jail terms comes out and become even worse than they were before. My environment and the dashing away of young life and destinies motivated me. My parents, day-in, day-out tried their best in making me a better person through their teaching, encouragement, coaching and prayers. The qualities I possess both visible and non-visible, I owe it to my parents. Though no awards or recognition for now, but with time, they are sure to come rolling in.
