Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
Our targets are graduates, university and high school students who are in need of working and technical development, unemployed graduates in search of opportunities, and partner organisations. Promoting Education with sure guarantee of sustainable employments. Our measures to evaluate success is a 3years milestone of successfully reducing the unemployment rate to at least 7percent ,through creativity, innovation and support, and with a monthly and annual testimonials and success stories from entrepreneur/employee graduates.Effect on the economy; the effect is going to be quite huge, for example, you have the multiplicity of data bases, that is, ministry of labour, national employment forum, CNPS, ministry of Higher education, all these bodies have separate data bases which makes it complicated for transparency and accountability in the job markets. We need to have a similar unified database where will be able to see duplicates and identify ghost workers . This is the first step to the employment ladder, where we serve as references to vast opportunities available for graduates after school.Working with the Ministry of Higher Education and the National Employment Forum and other organisations and companies that could offer activities on workplace Youth service and select dedicated young workers and we support them with paid allowances. Looking for as many as possible, host employers and companies to do Enterprise and supply development with our graduates who are starting cooperatives. With this, there will be greater disruptive Innovations and foreign direct investment for the nation.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
Graduates are very resourceful, but they don't know how to properly identify their resourcefulness, some could start a business, others run existing business, offer services, create and manufacture products. Our model is base on its ability to achieve a balance of profit and positive change. We will adopt both the entrepreneur support model ( consulting services, training, microfinancing or technical support) and the employment model ( provide job opportunities and job training). Voice of Graduates in Cameroon will seek funding from local councils, government ministries which are directly linked to youth services, multi-national companies and organisations. Collaborators are the Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Labour, ,Minister of Youths and Civic Education, Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise, National Employment Forum, Youth/junior Paliament, CNPS (Caisse nationale de prévoyance sociale or it's English version National Social Insurance Fund), financial institutions, companies and organisations. Obtain Allowances to support member graduates' activities with us through finance gotten from our cooperatives incentive schemes.
I am a dynamic, smart and interactive young Cameroonian from a humble family who strives to become a successful entrepreneur who contributes to the socio-economic development of my country. Growing up i was told that Education is the key to success and so was the thought of many like me, but after graduation, we realised that the society has changed the padlock. Rather than give up like many others,I decided to be creative enough in order to give back to my local community. If the society decides to change the padlock, why not break that lock and put yours (Innovation and creativity), thus genesis and creation of Voice of Graduates in Cameroon. I have a good interpersonal and communication skills needed for smooth organisations,I am a good motivator which is essential to building a great team to implement my ideas. I have a good positive attitude which I believe helps to develop a positive atmosphere with a creative mind. I choose a safe and conventional path which impresses and inspires others. I take on challenging responsibilities and with my commitment,I always make sure that I deliver the best. I believe running a social enterprise is about being passionate and loving what I have very much of.
