Women's Economic Independence/International E-commerce Poverty Alleviation Project
Explain your idea in details:
In 2018, the Common Future launched the Women's Economic Independence/International E-commerce Poverty Alleviation Project, hoping to help women in the Syrian region gain economic independence through China's developed e-commerce and sufficient private purchasing power, supplemented by women's independent education and entrepreneurship guidance. SPI in Syria provides a good way for refugee women to use their handcrafts to make jewelry, art and then sell them. After we got in touch with SPI, we brought the results back to China through volunteers from the Middle East and used the developed e-commerce platform in China to sell. In China, we contacted the luxury brand online store bifu to promote and sell our products through their stores. Up to now, we have sold more than 30 earrings through the platform, with a total income of about 9,000 yuan. At the same time, we plan to open a new international volunteer team and send teams with entrepreneurial experience to Syrian mentoring workshops to help them build more non-profit locally organization. We are planning a new promotion at the next step by contacting the stars or Weibo V let them buy those handmade earrings and take photos and short videos of earrings, write a promotional push, and launch an earring design project with the stars. We also planned and designed the charity participation reward marketing method. The specific operation method is after the consumer purchases and successfully pays the payment, the consumer will receive an official certificate issued by the agency, which will clarify in detail the specific details of the consumers economic independence for the Middle East women. After the spread, more and more people will participate in the event by proving the link in the lower right corner. The role of show public welfare has greatly expanded the influence of this event.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
It is worth noting that because of language barriers and restrictions on refugee status, Syrian male refugees have few job opportunities in Turkey and low salary levels. However, the high cost of living in Istanbul makes refugee families with low economic incomes even more difficult. We would like empowering refugee women through China's strong purchasing power, on the one hand, alleviates the financial burden of Syrian refugees, On the One hand, these women are integrated into the local society at work, gain happiness in creating value, and get out of the long-term psychological shadow. So we eager an international e-commerce platform to sell goods from them and gain money for their better life. At the same time, we plan to open a new international volunteer team and interaction teams with business experience or entrepreneurial experience to Syrian mentoring workshops to learn more manual knowledge and business knowledge to help them build more non-profit locally organization. Therefore, the results of fundraising can be a good reflection of how we help women achieve economic independence. In addition, we also hope that through entrepreneurship training, we can publish guidelines that fully integrate local special situations to help local women and even inspire other NGO members to help more people in the world.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
1.Star marketing. Method: Contact the star or Weibo V in the name of co-sponsored with UNICEF, buy those handmade earrings and take photos and short videos of earrings, write a promotional push, and launch an earring design project with the star or big V's Weibo. 2.Reward marketing. Consumers who have successfully paid will receive a certificate of public participation (automatically generated by the technical support). After receiving the certificate, the consumer can show their power to contribute to the public welfare on the social platform. After the spread, more and more people will participate. The role of show public welfare has greatly expanded the influence of this event. 3.Cultural marketing. Tencent will launch a Public Welfare Day on September 9th each year, and we can use the event to promote. we can also let more students participate in the activities with the help of reading clubs, campus lectures, summer practice activities. In addition, we can meet more NGO leaders through this competition or other forums to assist and expand. 4.Expand cooperation and establish an internal fund pool. A. Expanding the platform and project influence, recruiting more international education volunteers each year; B. Finding cooperation workshops in the Middle East, to expand output; 5.Establish awareness of eliminating gender discrimination and gaining economic independence through publicity and education. With the use of available funds (through the funds obtained from the sale and the funds obtained from competitions, forums, etc.) to open up a volunteer line, specifically promoting women's economic independence is a more helpful way.
I am a 20-year-old law student. The focus of international trade and human rights and business world for the public good, rather than for private interests is the perfect fit for my interests and skills. When I was a freshman, I was a volunteer in The Chinese Initiative on International Law (CIIL) - Common Future and Stanford University Asian Liver Center, Peking University. There, I saw the direct link between individuals and the protection of their privileges and feel the most powerful, efficient contribution from NGOs to the better world. I spent my second summer in law school as a summer intern in the Securities Department of King& Wood Mallesons in Beijing. I also interned at ICBC to help in Internal Control and Compliance Unit. As a Practitioner, I truly feel the positive contributions of lawyers at the forefront, helping each legal person and natural person create value in the legal world. I found the importance of academic skills indispensable. In my third year of law school, I enrolled in a research assistant at Academy of China Open Economy Studies (ACOES) and China Institute for WTO Studies (CIWTO), translating some of the WTO reports publicizing on the government website and writing news reviewing. As the Notes Editor for the International Economics Law Review and the assistant in some projects supported by The National Social Science Fund of China, I have gained significant experience with detail-oriented work. After comparing the practical work with the academic work, I found that if the lawyer is to escort every transaction, the theoretical research is to make suggestions and suggestions at the more front-end policy.
