Best Ideas 2019 features all the nominated entries submitted under ‘Submit your Idea’ category. All the entries consist of innovative solutions or propositions for an enterprise that champions the Sustainable Development Goals. They can be on the conceptual, planning, or start-up stage.
Explain your idea in details:
Once it is installed, the generator will be able to power a few user devices (phones, computers, etc..) while also giving off no pollution in the process. Since the generator is going to be 3D printed, the material will be able to withstand just about anything (unless someone is trying to break it) and can be used in all types of non-extreme weather conditions. From the results of this first version, I will improve with the second version and so on with the generator eventually having the ability to power an entire house.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
The generator will be available for ages 13 and up because of the easy assembly (if any is required). The material will be able to last for years due to the composition. Based on how this version of the generator will do with the public, I will begin work on the MK II version that will be better in every way while taking up less room than the MK I.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
The generator will have the power to convert wind, solar, and water into a viable energy source without taking up very much space due to its position in a window, as far as funding and financial sources go, I currently have the generator up on my gofundme and Kickstarter. So far I have been the only person working on this project along with my digital assistant since the beginning.
I am currently 20 years old and I have been researching and designing my projects for a few years now and I am currently putting plenty of hours into my self-sustaining generator project. I got the idea for this project when the power in my house would keep going out due to the bad weather and have been working on it since. Since I have been working as a freelance computer technician, the skills I have learned along the way have helped me with the overall project. So far I havent received any award or recognition for the generator.
