EcoSolutions - Lab: Promoting and boosting entrepreneurial skills among young people.
Explain your idea in details:
Our society is experiencing spectacular demographic growth. This societal dynamic hides a dual contingent reality. On the one hand, it represents a major asset for development thanks to the growth of human capital. On the other hand, it poses a threat to development. In this case, however, the second scenario promises to be more likely in view of the challenges people face in ensuring their well-being. Faced with such a scenario, the most valuable solution is to mobilize and energize new powerful and innovative skills to find new solutions to meet the challenges we face. This means relying on the wealth of knowledge of the human resources available to develop well thought out solutions to the problems raised. Yet, despite important skills that come from Congolese universities, in fields as diverse as agronomy, medicine, chemistry, agribusiness, new technologies, energy, etc; it is striking to note a paradox that reflects our inability to put these skills at the service of communities. However, to provide these young people with a framework whose vocation will be primarily to raise awareness of the fundamental principle that "each collectively or individually should serve the community" and more broadly for the benefit of a sustainable world. EcoSolutions - Lab being incubation center to stimulate young people to develop ecological, sustainable and innovative solutions. The ambition of this framework is to move from the logic of young job seekers to that of creators and providers of solutions. It will also contribute to the creation of a broad community of entrepreneurs with diverse skills, which will foster the creation of an ideal work space for innovation and creativity within which the talents of young people can grow. EcoSolutios - Lab will be based on three components. A technology park; An industrial park; A project incubation center.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
In order to support the achievement of the SDGs, this project covers the three main dimensions "Economy - Social - Ecology" given the plurality and interconnection of its various axes of action. The main objective is to provide society with the practical skills of the young people it needs to meet the challenges it faces in the form of the SDGs, focusing mainly on three areas of water - food - energy. Building on these solutions, this project can contribute to the eradication of hunger and poverty, but also contribute to the adoption by the community of a new system of responsible consumption and production in line with SDG12. At the same time, in the energy and water axis, it will devote itself to making people adopt new sustainable management practices for water resources and waste (junk, agricultural, animal and plastic) for not only the preservation of human health, but also with a view to combating environmental pollution. This reduces (see eliminating) harmful emissions of greenhouse gases (including methane) and producing clean, affordable and renewable energy (biogas), and ultimately contributing to a responsible energy future. However, here again the impact of this project goes beyond health and the environment especially as it projects on other dimensions of the SDGs, notably the economic dimension. More broadly, this project will make a significant contribution to reducing poverty as it represents a source of opportunity and promising employment for young people, raising the entrepreneurial culture of these young people and facilitating the emergence of creative enterprises. This will help stem unemployment. Moreover, it will also help to weave and consolidate social links through a collaborative, open and inter-enriched workspace. To measure the impact of this project, the following criteria will be highlighted: Performance, quality, efficiency, and respect for the environment, sustainability and safety.
Plans for implementation and sustainability
The project activities will focus on three main axes. These activities may be interdependent on the principle of the circular economy by working together with different skills. These skills will be identified to young academics who will meet during the weekly brainstorming sessions to develop concrete solutions to concrete questions. Thus, work teams will be formed in which specific issues will be addressed, and where skills from diverse backgrounds will be brought together and led to work together through the application of the principles of team management based on motivation and inter enrichment. If it happens that additional skills are missing, recourse to trades professionals will be made for the transfer of knowledge. Hence the need for three essential steps for the effective implementation of the project: Research and development focused on exploiting new and innovative solutions to problems; Training and internship for the acquisition of the knowledge and know-how needed by trades professionals through a transfer of practical skills; Awareness of students through seminars and workshops on the objectives and ambition of the project, sustainable development objectives as well as the whole community on new social issues. Once the solutions have been completed, the work teams will benefit from support and training in management tools and practices while providing them with the means necessary for the effective creation of companies. With the ambition of being present throughout the entire value chain, the activities of this project will be based on the following strategies: 1. Improving agricultural techniques and practices; 2. Increased collaboration throughout the chain by creating bridges between the city and the companion; 3. Creation of peri-urban and urban ecological gardens for vegetables and spices; 4. Waste collection coupled with the treatment of waste in biogas and wastewater through the establishment of treatment stations; etc.
I am a young person born in 1996, in a city located east of a huge country in Central Africa (Congo R.D.). Strongly convinced that being born in this country where there is still everything to do is for me a real motive for action. Despite the fatalism and naivety that characterize most young people of my generation, for me to be full of hope and energy gives meaning to life because we are aware that we are the true craftsman of the future. This justifies my early activism in actions of social transformation within a center of exchange and reflection for the future and action (PROSPECTIVE in Action) in order to change our society where young people are torn between dreams and disillusionment. In fact, I am not so extraordinary that an atypical course enriched with a sense of optimism that characterizes me. I have a greatness of vision and interesting abilities of communication and leadership. Passionate about the entrepreneurial management and project management that are my favorite fields, but also by the subject of the knowledge economy and the collaborative economy. I also like research through reading because I always try to search for new knowledge to understand the issues of the world in which I live. My commitment to entrepreneurship is unquestionable, through the academic conferences that my work can revolutionize the vision and the concept of entrepreneurship in the social imaginary. Driven by a great obsession: We must rehabilitate entrepreneurship through the university far from banalizations and caricatures that we make. I believe this project represents an excellent opportunity for me to give even more vitality and enthusiasm to our battle to succeed in creating a more sustainable world like never before and a society full of opportunity for every young person to deploy.
