Young Women's Political Empowerment Workshop
Explain your idea in details:
This idea aims to provide young women with new confidence and experience so they can grow up to reach their full potential. Women are powerful people that can achieve anything they set their minds to - and these workshops will encourage them to take action in their lives and become involved in politics. For instance, the Young Women's Political Empowerment Workshops will be located in various countries/areas and women that have studied, or are involved in politics will engage with these young girls in different ways. For example, they will be able to partake in various motivational activities, listen to speeches, and watch videos of the importance of female representation in politics.
Expected impact of your idea on sustainable development
The main objective of the Young Women's Political Empowerment Workshops is to encourage young girls to recognize the importance of female representation in politics. This idea focuses on gender equality, which is very necessary at the moment. To evaluate our success with the workshops, monthly surveys will be conducted and we will be able to see how much of an impact the women have on the young girls. For instance, the survey will ask how much the girls are enjoying themselves in these programs, and the workshop leaders will hopefully be able to conference with the young girls on a regular basis to see how well they are adapting to the project. The aim of this development is to persuade young girls to go into the direction of politics, because the worlds needs more diversity!
Plans for implementation and sustainability
This idea is only conceptual, but if it were to be actually implemented in the future, there are some collaborators that could help develop the workshops. To start, this would be a non-profit idea, and hopefully women that are experienced with the concept of politics would volunteer on a monthly basis to meet with these young girls and provide insight and support. These workshops would be scattered across different areas (North America, South America, etc), so hopefully locally owned businesses could help support the idea and provide different supplies to the young girls.
Hi! My name is Serena and I am from Ontario. My motivation is to encourage young girls to become involved in politics because we need more representation in the world. I am in high school and I am always learning about the importance of females in the political workplace, and I believe that gender equality is one of the most important issues the world is facing at the moment. I am also a girl, and I too have an interest in going into politics, and I believe that more women in local governments can help to develop new strategies and implement new goals.
